PROJECT 01: BIKE STOP CAFE I designed a full brand identity for my one of my favorite coffee shops here in St. Charles, Missouri. The Bike Stop Cafe has been around for the past 15 years and has been offering bike rentals, servicing, and some really great coffee. This project was for fun, but I really hope I get to do some work for them in the future! This design was created to blend the name of their business with some bicycle iconography. With a little bit of elbow grease, these letters can be combined to form a bike! BRAND DESIGN Lay Farms Lay Farms has been a supporter of our company for a long time and we could not be more excited to announce that we have been working closely to create a fresh and exciting new identity for them. We had a few priorities when we started working on this product with the Lay Farms team. First and foremost, they wanted to have a logo mark, which is a symbol that can encapsulate his brand in a single icon or image. They also wanted the brand to feel timeless, something that could fit in their 200 year old farmhouse but could also find itself at home on a water bottle at the gym. For two weeks, our team worked on a series of 100 different logo mark design concepts. After we had a list of contenders, our lead team worked to whittle down that list of 100 sketches down to 15 designs. These 15 designs are then presented to the client for a review. After picking their top three designs, our team goes away and builds out a brand board like the one showcased at the end of this document. The Lay Farms team pick one of the final designs and we finish out their brand! The final logo mark for Lay Farms is a combination mark of the letters L, J, and F. The corners of this logo come to leaf shapes and allow for a lot of flexibility and versatility for the future.
