Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”.In the quiet, state park of McKenny Falls. I had the privilege to stare at my past, present and future in the eyes. There I saw patience, that escaped me from my childhood, when I would observe the birds, insects and other forms of life busy themselves without panic, stress or care for tomorrow. There I saw the happiness, the pure innocence of blissfulness, adventure and wonder that I could find any given situation, that was replaced with the duties & obligation/ expectations of manhood let alone adulthood.There I saw the love, that was lost in my life. That I once so youthfully felt from appreciation, commandment, and personal achievement from; friends, family, teachers/ coaches & others in midsized town I grew up in. These things once mattered to me most, all dwindled away like a flowing river demanding and canvassing its way through rough terrain. I have founds all, I once’s cherished the most, as I starred into eyes of my now wife and uttered the words.I forever do.
