Native Fashion Week Santa Fe

This was kinda a huge deal for me 🤭

@lesley_hampton designs had such a powerful impact on me the moment I first seen them @indigenousfashionarts; it was there when I manifested the day I too would walk in her designs. That I would focus my modelling career on the indigenous designs.

Mays full moon on Mother days 2025, these dreams of mine came to fruition, and it couldn’t have been more special to me; I lost my momma- a proud indigenous woman, almost 3 years ago, but that day her ashes walked the runway with me, her presence was known and felt like never before, I channeled her strength and knowledge to guide me through the day.

The pride I felt brought me to tears backstage, @gardenoftwelve thank you for your support during this time, the reminder of who I am, because who she was; you have no idea how much it ment to me.

I wish to inspire others to make your manifestations and goals today, and with these clear aspirations, each day we can work to close the gap between where we currently are and where we wish to be.

It’s never too late to dream, to change, to grow, and I will always be here to listen to you speak on your passions, desires and fears- if you can relate to having a dream I want you to share your love and like this post, because together in unity we can raise above adversity. Miigwech

After the Dust Collection is an Indigenous couture, Wearable Art and Streetwear Collection inspired by the Summer Solstice, blending satin, lace, denim, into a bold expression of renewal, resilience, and summer’s untamed beauty.

This look showcases a striking woven leather and denim top paired with a fully lined, feathered adjustable skirt, elegantly adorned with delicate lace and pearl accents. The ensemble is complemented by handcrafted floral porcupine quillwork earrings, accented with satin details and sparkling Swarovski crystals.
Completing the look is a beautiful collaboration with Manitobah, featuring the iconic @manitobah Pony Mary Jane shoes. Together, these elements celebrate exceptional artistry, blending contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship and timeless elegance.

Look 8 @fashionarttoronto

This look is all about texture and movement. Black rabbit fur, sheer lace, shimmering beads, and flowing ribbon details all come together in one silhouette.

The skirt was created from a beaded sequin fabric that reminds me of porcupine quills. I love the way the beads move and catch the light as the model walks. Paired with the rabbit fur vest with unique little trinkets strung across the front.
Styled with a lace top, it feels elegant, feminine, and just a little bit bold…everything I wanted this collection to be.

This collection, designer, and other indigenous models and creatives had made this experience one of a kind. So beautifully orchestrated and put together. I’m extremely grateful 🥹 and overly proud of everyone involved.

This collection is a tribute to the beautiful, strong and deadly indigenous women that raised this generation of proud native peoples. For the strength it took to survive and in memory of those who didn’t. We stand with honour and pride for the generations before us and spread inspiration for the generations after.

What moonlit resilience means to me is carrying on, on the darkest days with faith within ourselves and the creator to protect and care for us. That with solitude and recovery comes creation and life that it is the Darkness that allows the stars to shine ✨

Much love to new and old friends, the ones consistently there uplifting one another.
