4.5’x5.5’ Spray paint on gallery wrapped canvas.
Very excited to be working on these size canvases again. Portrait work with spray paint at this scale is both challenging and rewarding.

Thanks to @old_state_road for his hospitality, friendship and inspiration! Truly grateful.

“La Bolsita de Casas”
Available at Noble Gallery in San Jose. @noble.dtsj

Home ownership for the average citizen is becoming an increasingly uphill battle.

Over the past 50 years, U.S. home prices have dramatically outpaced household income growth. In the mid-1970s, the typical home cost roughly 3 to 3.5 times the median annual household income. Today, that ratio has climbed to around 8 to 12 times annual earnings in some cities, driven by tight housing supply, rising construction costs, and sharp price spikes in the last few years. You add in the squeezing on all other goods due to corporate greed and folks out here are just surviving.

And “just surviving” means less time for critical thinking. We need to regulate corporate profits, get private money out of politics, and make necessities like water, electricity, gas, internet and insurance non-profit.

Let’s have a system for everyone not just the rich. Please.🙏🏻 taken in Santa Monica, California by @zaeos

Saca la bolsita de Calligraphy Red

Some see these paintings as a celebration of graffiti, or as an ode to the tools, but these illustrate a greater issue to me. A note on consumerism through the lens of the dealer.
The lil baggy of party favors.

The consolidation of wealth.

The capitalism of art. The commodification. The packaging, rationing, cut up the supply and prepared for individual sale.

But also like, fuck yeah, graffiti and shit.

“A Life By The Sea” this piece is inspired by spring and my semi-recent move to a tiny little beach town called Santa Monica, a fresh start for me. I take daily rides on the beach and often see pelicans gliding just above the waves.

Excited to be showing new this work tonight at @abvgallery for their “REFRESH” group show. The exhibition features over 30 local and international artists. Each artist created new work inspired by Spring.
