Today, I celebrated my friends’ graduation in Cairo, and I was truly happy for them.

I graduated myself a few months ago, yet I never truly got to feel what graduation is supposed to feel like.

But the moment I walked through the university gates, time stood still.

Seeing students still studying, still graduating, felt almost unreal , as if my heart had forgotten that universities still exist after mine was destroyed.

I remembered those from my class who were martyred, those who were scattered, and those forced into exile.

I dedicate the graduation I never got to feel to every soul lost for Gaza and Palestine, to my beloved university, to each and every one of my friends, and to my family ,the most precious part of my life. by @zaina_al00

22-year-old Gazan Zaina Ashour carries us back to what she longs for most about home—the minute details of winters in Palestine, the laughter of friends that once filled her days, and everything in between. by @zaina_al00

I am extremely grateful for being granted the honour of attending the Gouna Film Festival. It has opened a new portal for my personal development and future advancement, as well as it provided a friendly space of social and cultural exchange. As I was in the festival, the question of “are you Palestinian? REALLY?” never left the conversation. The tremendous support for humanitarian causes in general and the Palestinian cause in particular; made me realise how strong can different industries tie us together. Integrating us into a high level of solidarity and understanding. The Gouna Film Festival, is a platform where the dreams of those in Gaza touch the surface of the limitless sky. Where Gaza was always present, in talks and debates, in every tear and smile spent in the festival. I miss my Gaza, yet the path still doesn’t have limits or ceilings

I was extremely honoured to take part in the Diera listening experience event as the Master of Ceremonies. This has definitely shown me a new window to look at and a new perspective of my personality. Thank you hayat for this, indeed, unforgettable experience; and so much love for all the people who joined us in the event and took part in sharing the Palestinian heritage.

Al-Omari Mosque before and after it was destroyed by the Israeli occupation.

Also known as the Great Mosque of Gaza, was the largest and oldest mosque in the Gaza Strip, located in Al-Daraj neighbourhood in Gaza’s Old City. It estimated that 120 mosques have been razed since the start of the Israeli assault on Gaza on October 7.
