A few more from @amonggoodpeople x @xenbyxen’s Soccer Sari collection, shot by the right honourable @sairascontentment and @zainaussaleem with an assist from @jah.pri. An ode to the bustling shops of Southall and the deep love the South Asian diaspora have for the beautiful game. Featuring our own @asad_raza7, of course. Head to @amonggoodpeople to check out what they’ve been cooking. taken in Southall, London UK by @zainaussaleem

Directed by Zain Aus Saleem (@zainaussaleem) for @amonggoodpeople’s @soccersari project, this film stitches together two worlds that have always lived side by side: football and South Asian heritage. For the inaugural Soccer Sari Collection, AGP collaborated with @xenbyxen to create unique pieces that were reworked by hand, taking women’s football shirts and combining them with fragments of pre-loved saris, scarves and sleeve borders sourced from family and the fabric shops of Southall Broadway. Starring Pakistani Women’s international footballer @zee.malik28 our own Editor-in-Chief @asad_raza7 , and @khuloud.alo at Southall Broadway. The film takes them home, from the pitch to the paan stall, the charpais identity with pride, on and off the pitch. For Zain, a British Pakistani filmmaker, bringing these shirts to life in Southall meant celebrating the places, textures and traditions he grew up around. Among Good People is a football inspired streetwear brand founded by UK based artist Amar Shah (@amrshah.design). Congratulations to the AGP family and to everyone who brought Soccer Sari to life. Football belongs to all of us. by @zainaussaleem

Welcome to Celestia Press A new home for contemporary Muslim literature. This is the most ambitious project I have ever worked on by far, and one very close to my heart. I want to thank all the authors who are trusting Celestia with their work. I cannot wait to bring these books to you all. A lot has gone into building Celestia, and it is far from built. Become a patron today. God willing, a lot more to come. Sign up to stay up to date. If you'd like to understand a bit more about the theory of the press, I've written a short essay called 'Publishing under the Divine Gaze' which you can find in the bio. 📽️ by none other than @zainaussaleem taken in London, United Kingdom by @zainaussaleem

What a pleasure to collaborate with filmmaker @zainaussaleem who, with the skill of an alchemist and dexterity of a weaver, turned a morning ramble around the Storehouse into this beautiful film. Check out his work & hit him up for your next film project 🎥 And, we’re in the last 2 weeks to see my installation under the Torrijos Ceiling (Oct 18th)! taken in V&A East by @zainaussaleem
