As part of the Talking Walls #جدران_ناطقه initiative, I collaborated with more than twenty Arab artists from the Middle East to create a unique work of art. My sketch #Wild_Style was characterized by the fact that the word is known as (ويلد=wild) in both the West and the East and to give it a spontaneous form that suggests the meaning I wrote. I combined my mushroom figure with #Donatello and added a dummy to clarify the concept of 'and was influenced by the background of the artist @huvil . The artist @hithamalhjoj also drew the figure of Leonardo, which led us to coordinate our different styles to achieve this creative result. This project takes place annually and it was wonderful to meet the artists in person. I would like to thank @artentryofficial and the supporting companies who made it possible for us to realize this project . @letsgo_paddle @leaf_juice3 @joeandthejuiceksa @snbl7 @tngraff.store by @zakaria_one1

The Village - القرية

@zakaria_one1 is a Lebanese graffiti artist who began his artistic journey in 2007 as a member of the Kalima (KLM) crew. Known by the tag Zakaria_one1 and the nickname "فنان بالفطرة" ("an artist by nature"), he has developed a distinctive visual language centered around his iconic mushroom character, inspired by both caricature and cartoon traditions. Alongside this motif, he frequently incorporates the Arabic word "كلمة" ("Kalima"), rendered in stylized calligraphic forms that can also be interpreted as "Zak" from an alternative perspective. Through this interplay of character design, lettering, and cultural references, his work explores identity, place, and contemporary Lebanese visual expression.

The mushroom, Zakaria Ismail's recurring character, takes on the role of an ancient rural figure, an embodiment of a way of life that has become increasingly rare and precious. Much like the land itself, this character reflects a deep connection to Lebanon's history, traditions, and enduring cultural wealth. Rooted in the landscape like the blessed olive tree, it serves as a symbol of memory, and belonging, carrying forward the spirit of the countryside and the stories embedded within it. by @zakaria_one1
