Today we have the multifaceted Zakarius Harry peeking from Behind The Curtain! 👋

What space do you feel most at ease in?
Any space riddled with silliness and an overwhelming abundance of laughter and sarcasm.

What’s one thing you’d like to share about yourself that most don’t know?
I wasn’t born on this planet - I don’t have an NI number or passport and don’t belong to any nationality (which can sometimes pose challenges when touring I guess). But I can do a reasonably accurate chicken noise.

When/what makes you feel most creative?
Anything, everything and nothing.
I enjoy discovering random quotidian or emotive human experiences and noticing the absurdity, humour, and contradictions they can evoke — whether from strangers, friends, family or within myself.
Humans are weird! But wonderful.
Quietly observing is where I feel most creative.
When? Definitely only have ideas when I should be sleeping tho, that 4am notes page vibe.

Thank you Zakarius for a little look in! 👀

Wearing The bl••d I Sit In

Directed, Choreographed, Edited & Costumes - @zakariusharry

Performers - @yejikim0 @zakariusharry
DOP - @robinsoncassarino
Lighting Design - @gubigotnoscooby

Music - ‘Legal Illegal’ @front_de_cadeaux

A mirror is a private silent discussion within the eyes of an honest reality, exposing the unrehearsed performance. Behind the mirror an innate panic to script each inch to perfection. Perpetual atychiphobia.

Between the mirror I sit and watch myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watching myself watch myself. by @zakariusharry

A continuous cycle experiencing moments, memories and ambition morphing through time but stuck in a singular loop. Billions of lives living simultaneously but never thoroughly understanding any of them. Moments of clarity get demolished by glimmers of another life, another memory, another dream. Surroundings constantly moving ahead without a regard for the last. Always forwards until backwards overtakes. A surge of unidentified but familiar emotions bleed through each other until everything feels the same but at a glance looks completely different. Vivid images like core memories inject themselves into existence paving the way through an overwhelming mess. Frozen in a singular motion. Framing elation from a far makes nothing but a slight dent. A minor delay in forgetting you. Still from a far from a still. It’s a gift to leave your dent even just for a second. by @zakariusharry

Frozen in a singular motion
Framing elation from a far
Makes nothing but a slight dent
A minor delay in forgetting you
Forgetting the clothes you wore
Forgetting what made your core

Far from the frame is everything
Everything in seconds
A dent greater then existing
Involuntarily unfolding euphoric pages
A book rich with anything imaginable
Anything in seconds

Seconds hold everything
Captive by endless freedom
Stillness lends its time
For these seconds to keep dreaming
Still from a far from a still
Its a gift to leave your dent even just for a second

BTS from a short film I created with three incredible humans
