WSSU Alumna🐏♡

POSTS STORIES REELS
At the end of this week, I will officially be an alumna of the sweet Winston-Salem State University. I can’t believe that I have achieved something that has been so tough, but even more rewarding than ever. One thing I have truly adopted in my college experience has been patience and resilience through every obstacle I’ve faced. That is something I will never downplay as I reflect back on this journey. Above everything, I want to thank God for getting me to this point. He has provided the community I needed to forever support and inspire me to become everything beyond all expectations, and challenged me to be the best that I can. As I give myself flowers in this moment, I’ll always remember that I have truly been blessed through it all. “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18) 💐 by @zakiyats
Today, I am officially recognized as a WSSU Almuna. It’s beautiful to reflect on all the wonderful moments I’ve had at WSSU, coming in as an inspiring nurse who baked treats in her dorm. As I depart, I am proud to say that I will be leaving with a degree in mathematics with so many different experiences provided by my second family, the WSSU Mathematics Department. WSSU Mathematics Department, thank you for taking me under your wing and seeing my potential since the day that we’ve met. You have shaped me into the woman I am today, and filled me with purpose as I navigated through this journey. Ms. Myra, thank you for always giving me insight and encouragement in everything I do, and being a safe space for all of your students. I’m so happy to have encountered your unforgettable spirit. To my dearest family and friends, thank you for being there in every step of the way. All the late nights, tears, complaints, and laughter have officially paid off. I love you all so much. I’m excited to see how far I go, as I take my next steps into higher education. Thank you WSSU for everything you’ve taught me.❤️ B.S in Mathematics, Statistics Concentration Summa Cum Laude 7x Dean’s List Recipient Fall 2024-Spring 2025 MSC Treasurer Fall 2025 MSC President Mathematics Peer Tutor Zero Forcing Student Researcher Truist STEM Scholar Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society by @zakiyats
