Mad Little Bat 🦇
Those sinful thoughts been exorcised

I have a broken heart and a curious mind
I fight evil with light, sadness with gratitude
Judgement with change
I stand amongst mine and whisper the chant of my soul
A dedication of self-love
A promise to serve my intuition
Under no condition

It’s authentic and pure and still. Sometimes moving and chaotic and playful. But never bitter and hateful. carry within yourself.

The initial intention behind this number was to embody my mad little bat, a movement back towards sovereignty, as it always comes back to it like a serpent eating it’s tail. Returning to myself without abandoning tenderness.
Dancing the thin line between compassion and self-preservation.

When I injured my foot, towards the end of the process, the choreography I had built and the structure I relied on, suddenly wasn’t an option anymore.
What I thought I needed to make needed to be let go alongside my expectations of sophisticated results and controlling the outcome, my understanding of a restraint as a punishment instead of an occasion to practice shifting perspective.

I have been lucky enough to learn from this process many things that I shall drill repeatedly into my skull from now on :
I’m allowed to create without proving anything. If you’re not failing, you’re not creating.
I am hypersensitive, my work is to echolocate my emotions, then return to center. Alchemizing movement into slow improvisation sharpens my emotional focus.
Warm-up rituals are creative stimulants. Structure looks different on everyone.
I am the one who needs to be convinced by my existence and my own presence is the only proof I need. Integration is embodiment.

The audience never knows what the fuck is happening, you’re the one holding the room. That power is rare and it’s a skill you can translate into life. Even when you’re tired, go reach into that energy.
Undeniably there is no place in the world where I would have felt safer fucking up than in front of the Cirque Hors Piste public, as they make me feel safe and that’s one of the most precious things I can get out of this and not take for granted.

My biggest fears on presentation day were feeling disconnected from what I wanted to express and leaving without a sense of completion. Neither happened as they were supposed to, not even the original story who wanted to be known.
Instead, I adapted a new number, lot messier, less serious and that forced me to let go. Pushing through an injury is both brave and dumb, I can now respect why I had to do that. Cried so hard after just to realize everything was in it’s right place. by @zali_x.x

We are the dance on the knife’s edge and metabolizing your loss
is beautifully implicit, though not plainly expressed
Let it be an ancestor in your heart instead of a ghost in your nervous system.
My youth is for me, the rest is for you

💫 The joy of healing in movement, creating in motion ✨
The freedom of not caring too much🦇
A love letter to the tenderness of a collective that holds you the same in your downfall as in your rising. 🎪

I’m delegating in myself responsibility
To rest a bit in sovereignty
A sacred permission
To calm down the agitation
of constant stimulation
To come back when I spiral into motions
The delegation of perceived notions
Under psychic protection

I’m baking the ingredients into ritualistic urges, the recipe of my dark baptism

Into a void I’ve been screaming
the constant need to express beauty, shaping meaning into nobility
As reassurance I highlight divinity

I confused being wanted with being hunted
I’m no saint, i did like it
I find comfort into the chase and peace into
acknowledging
I’m not innocence, I never was
I’m no victim, not anymore
I forced bliss into blindness

Stuck in a loop of self-realization, I m asking for something that’s already there
When I’m rejecting the same dreams,
I’m hiding the meaning I begged for

My purpose is to be
slightly off-putting
To laugh at it all,
To love ´til I fall

Question the great mystery,
at least for now,
tomorrow,
I may chose
something new

Thrilling night performing at P*te en Criss hosted by @t0nibatard
full of clarity, lessons, metaphors and ironic synchronicity,
following your intuition will often surprise you in ways you didn’t expect and I shall live by the fact that there s always a chance that I could (will) change.

It’s part of the beauty of it.

I was really proud and moved by everyone helping each other while they’re going through their own storms. May the rain melt softly with your tears and brings you incommensurable peace.
Thank you for having, holding and receiving me, whole.

P.1
When my lips meet your hips, everything hits
me without the consequences of tomorrow
I take a dip in your sorrow,
My heart and soul were never mine to own
My body is the patron saint of wanting, an abyss shaped in an human form
