I am loving this new series and world created for morally grey and down bad men. As always the spice was SPICING but the humor really brought the whole book together. There were so many times I was laughing out loud for all the ridiculous things that came out of Casper’s mouth, may it be to try and get a rise out of Anna or just because the man was just so damn charming , it all worked. Casper was the most lovable character and I see no red flags for this man stalking her through the walls, he stole my heart immediately from chapter one. This book had more humor than I expected and It ended up being exactly what the story needed, that being said there was some very heavy topics discussed. If you have read Sloane’s hockey series you would know that Anna is the sister of one of her most beloved books and I could not wait to read her side of the story. Two people living in the dark and then suddenly meeting someone that shows you the light. Casper & Anna was the perfect match for each other without even knowing it at first. “Not only has she let me in, she’s been building a place for me there. She even laid out a welcome mat” Overall the story had heart, it had humor and had iconic spice scenes and some questionable toys as teammates. I was laughing out loud so many times, casper will definitely be a favorite golden retriever MMC!! Thank you so much to @sloanestjames and @podiumentertainment for this ARC 🫶🏻 Make you sure you add this one to your TBR, release day is just around the corner and you definitely don’t want to miss out!!🖤 by @zanbooks

Last, Now, Next Reads 📚 I am so fully invested in the Empire of Kings series by @azavarelli These Vitale brothers are exactly my type of obsessed men I love to see. Men who would do anything for the FMC 🙌🏻 I have been looking for a new mafia series to binge and I was hooked the minute I started this, best believe I am about to jump into the rest of her back list. 🖤Last • Beautiful Torment What a start to the series this was, I had no idea which way this was going and ended up loving these two so much! If you love a good stalker romance, high spice to plot ratio and some good primal play, I definitely recommend this one. Angelo & Abella were so HOT together and I have high hopes for the rest of the brothers 🖤Now • Pretty Prey 72% - This brother IMMEDIATELY caught my attention in the first book and when I found out he was next in line there was no way I was gonna stop this series now. This man has stolen my heart and I absolutely love him, a tortured hero so in love that it’s his entire personality. There is so much tension and buildup between these two I can not wait to see them get their HEA 🖤Next • Lovely Venom This is actually the book that caught my eye and made me back track and start from book 1. So I am hoping to finish book 2 tonight and dive straight into this. Hidden identity?? Grumpy MMC’s Book recs 📚 I just recently finished The Wall of Winnipeg & Me and I think this has to be one of the grumpiest mmc’s I have ever read before. Its been on my tbr for so long and I so happy I finally got to it. I had such a blast listening to this audio and waiting for him to smile, so naturally I had to gather all my grumpy book boyfriends and make a list. There is just something about a man that doesn’t smile till he meets someone that brings out the sunshine and makes them laugh again. I love every bit of it. This is definitely one of my favorites. So here is list for some of my favorite grumpy mmc’s, there is broody cowboys, prickly billionaires and scowling athletes and so much more. These two were the perfect ending for the series. Emmy writing is such a comfort for me and I always have the best time with her characters. This ranch is filled with so much love and joy, could it be the meddling town donkey or the family shenanigans you are gaurenteed to kick your feet and read with a smile on your face. The Poison Daughter @sheilareadsandwrites 🎧Anthony Palmini & Laura Horowitz 🪻Standalone 🪻Romantasy 🪻Enemies to Lovers 🪻Marriage of Inconvenience 🪻Dash of Vampires 🪻Murder Meet-cute 🪻Vigilante FMC 🪻MC’s in their 30s This was my first read of the month and it has been two weeks and I am still thinking about them. So I had to make a post and share some of my favorite quotes. I have been seeing this book everywhere and I just had to know what it was about, and it did not disappoint. This audio narration was perfect. These two voiced their characters so well I could have listened to another 10 hours of these two just bickering with each other. A girl whose kiss is poison to everyone but her new husband?? This whole book had such an interesting premise I was hooked from the very first chapter. I devoured this book within 2 days and could not put it down, I had to know what was happening the entire time. It kept me intrigued, it kept me guessing and had me wanting this book to never end. Henry & Harlow was a match made to perfection. They had their moments of vulnerability and moments of giving in but they did not make it easy on one another. The tension and buildup to these two were everything you want in an enemies to lovers. There were so many things happening at once and I definitely feel like I need more of them immediately. Such a unique and refreshing read, the world build is easy, the banter is elite, the spice was chef’s kiss. If you are a lover of romantasy or want to dip your feet into a new genre, i definitely recommend this. Friends to Lovers book recs 📒🌼⭐️💛 Childhood friends, best friends, new friends, old friends. I have come to love this trope, when there is already a foundation build so strong that it always seems silly that they didn’t end up together from the start. It was so good to be back in Crownhaven with my favorite Prince siblings! Last year on a random weekday I picked up The Heir and ended up being one of my favorites reads of the year! After all the bits and pieces of these two we got in book 1 I already knew I was going to love them 🙌🏻 Tristan needs a wife by the end of the summer to inherit his shares. But what he did not expect was for his best friend and bodyguard wanting to learn how to date. Always moving, always on guard, always working. There was never time to meet someone. Things were changing around the estate and Katie knew that she can no longer cling to Tristan. But she would need some practice first? Tristan would be the perfect candidate and there is no way he is turning down this offer. Friends to lovers is always a favorite for me but I do love it when one of them is silently pining for the other. Tristan was such a FLIRT and I ate up every single crumb of banter between these two! Watching this man slowly fall inlove was soooo satisfying and I could have read 200 more pages of them together. Katie baby was such a gentle soul with a protective barrier around her heart so high. I loved this girl and every single page I just wanted to give her a hug! I loved how she came alive around Tristan and how he just he was so teasing but loving with her. The buildup between these two were so thick with tension but worth every bit of torture I had to wait. It was intense, it was hot and absolutely delicious!!! I cannot wait to find out which one of the twins book we get next! I will be in the very front row waiting! Peep all the stunning character art on the last slide!! August Reads 📚 I had the best time reading last month which feels great after slumping hard all of June & July. The month flew by but I was able to squeeze in some of my favorite reads of the year and also managed to read some new authors that has been on my radar. 📚BOOK OF THE MONTH 🦊 Foxx by Paisley Hope • This was definitely my top read & audio. This man absolutely blew everyone else out of the water and finally knocked Wolf.e off his throne. It was gritty, intense and oh so HOT. This audio narration was absolute perfection and Jason & Samantha should definitely win a award for their performance 😮‍💨 🎧AUDIO 🏒Tempting Venom by Rina Kent • I am a little shocked to say this was my first time listening to JF harding and what a delicious treat this was. Teddy Hammilton is always his best when he is completely unhinged in my opinion. The tension and the buildup between these two was insane and this makes Marcus & Preston my favorite in the Viper series 👏🏻 🦋HONORABLE MENTIONS 🌸 The Rebel seeks a Wife by Sophia Travers • I have become such a fan for Sophia’s writing and after having the Heir as one of my favorites from last year it was so good to be back in Crownhaven. These two had the best banter between friends to lovers and I just ate it right up. 💐Painted in Wildflowers by Emmy Sanders • Their is nothing quite like a Emmy comfory read. Their books will always have a place here and I love every single world and characters in them. I listened to this entire trilogy in a weekend, it had me so invested I could not put it down. It was heartbreaking, it was action packed, It was spicy and these men were obsessed with their women. If you love dark romance with a side of angst & kinks, i definitely recommend making this your next read. 🧡 Knotted - Jake & Cassie * Second Chance * Trauma / Healing * Favorite couple What a heartbreaking start to this series. These two have endured what no one ever should have and was fighting around every corner to have their second chance at love. Jake’s love did not waver, did not stumble and he fought everyday to win his love back. These two were meant to be and I loved everything about them! The healing, their challenges. Cassie was a baddie and such a force of nature. 💛 Buckled - Jarret & Maybe * Instalust * Secret & Lies * Spiciest When Maybe blows into town looking to write a story, she has her sights set on the Holsten twins. Immediately captivated and intrigued by this beauty, Jarret knows that she is keeping secrets, he is determined to find out the real reason why she’s here. Instalust done right. This man knew what he wanted and he was not going to give Maybe even a second to think otherwise. He will do anything to protect his family and the ones he love, but first he is going to unravel her one by. 💙 Booted - Lorne & Raina * Ex - Convict * Revenge * Favorite narration After being locked away for 8 years, Lorne comes home to a woman in his bed. Except this women is broken, damaged and absolutely breathtaking. Together they are toxic, but they have one goal in mind and it’s to seek revenge on those who hurt them. These two brought each other back to life and started to heal deep wounds within. Their dynamic with the push and pull was so delicious. Workplace romances recs 📚 We are clearly on a trend here with my latest reads. This weeks mood - I love a workplace setting with forced proximity, a billionaire falling for his secretary, a grumpy cowboy that can’t resist the new employee or even a athlete becoming obsessed with his trainer, the list could go on. These are all romance books I’ve read and loved my tbr is too long to add all the rest on my list. 🧡Last : I just finished When I come back and I’m a sucker for second chances and their love story was so worth it! I cant wait to dive into Brooks & Margo! 💜Now: Im starting Forget me Not next. I love all things weddings and this books has been on my tbr for so long, I just know I am gonna love Ama & Elliot. 🩷Next: To nobody’s surprise next is In her Own League.
