The practice wheel is back! Looking at my @kalabrandmusic ukulele and some fun techniques!
“Drop 2” explained: G7 voiced from high to low is B G F D. To make it a Drop 2, you take the second note and drop it an octave. This is a voicing that is very natural on guitar and works to open up the melody on top. With the high G of the Ukulele, these voicing are transformed back to normal making for some pretty cluster chords. #ukulele #banjo by @zanderonutility

When you buy a new guitar it is often not set up for a beginner. String action is too high and nuts are under cut from the factory. This is how I have always taught my students to hold a guitar pick and I have had a great success. Everybody has their own way though. How do you hold one? @ministerzilla is the master of using his middle finger so he’s always ready to tap. @nate_dugger I remember you always did pointer and middle which is what I keep students from doing but you make it work great lol.

Several years ago, while miserably bored on a tour bus, I experimented with putting a banjo arrangement I made of somewhere over the rainbow into my daw via midi. I added a drum beat and could not stop laughing. I remember @stephenjmetz hating every bit of it 🤣
