BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

this was without a doubt the biggest challenge i ever took on as an actor, and i am proud of my work solely because of the support system i had to allow me to keep exploring and challenging myself to push further. huge thank you to sam and ivy for trusting gerrel and i with this beautiful piece of work, it will always be something i hold close to my heart as long as i live.

and to gerrel, you’re my brother, i couldn’t have made it through this without you, and it was so incredible to be able to work with you to this degree.

but actually, this is the problem with america…

i think i learned the definition of a passion project through this one. everyone put their whole heart and soul into this and it made this show so much fun to be a part of. i’m lucky to (most likely) call this my last show at uci. move towards the darkness and welcome in your pain everyone

also i hate that i can’t tag everyone sorry kyle, kit, kiya, and everyone love yall

HAMLET

what an incredible cast and crew! for us to be able to tackle THE beast of shakespeare and handle it with such grace and respect has been a dream of mine for my entire acting career. it’s hard to overstate the amount of work and time we all put in to truly embody these characters, and how gratifying it feels for that work to pay off in this manner. of course, i was so lucky to be @jooshmarty ‘s horatio; having him as a scene partner throughout the show allowed me to truly push my craft and embody the loyalty and honorability of my character. it isn’t often you find yourself in a cast and crew that is so collectively passionate about creating the best show possible, and this was certainly one of those moments. i’ll hold this rotten state of denmark with me for the rest of my life.

easily the best year of my life is coming to an end and it’s thanks to all these incredible people. putting this together made me realize just how much happened this year and how much i’ve grown throughout it, and how thankful i am for everything and everyone who was a part of it. 2023 was sick as hell, but it’ll be nothin compared to 2024
