Love Story, JFK Jr., Carolyn Bessette and the 90s have been taking over my algorithm for the past few weeks. Makes me want to teleport to NYC in 1991 as a 33 year old to work at Calvin Klein and smoke a moody cig. Reminded me of the interview I did with John Varvatos about how he invented the boxer brief by accident while working at @calvinklein in those days. A career highlight for me. What a kind, cool and iconic human (and fellow Detroit native) he is. #90s #johnvarvatos #calvinklein #fashion #interview by @zaracreative
Zara Creative 2016. Oh, the nostalgia. How was this a decade ago? 2016 was year five in business. It was the year we started getting more high-profile clientele, projects and opportunities. The year we actually made a demo reel for ourselves. Which is the only reason we are prepared for this trend. I moved to Los Angeles in 2023 to expand my business and my life. Iā€™ve taken seven of these trips back to my roots in Detroit since moving and they all look a little like this: a jam packed schedule filled with as many family and friend visits possible, @zaracreative team and client meetings, and too many trips to my storage unit. Seeing my fam and soul fam, especially my niece Mia and my nephew Elijah (growing in my sister-in-lawā€™s belly in these clips) are by far my favorite parts of coming back to Detroit for visitsā€” which is why I will most definitely be coming back for another visit way before June. I canā€™t wait that long to see them! Zara Creative is available for video production / content creation projects in Los Angeles and Detroit. And we travel. #deltaplatinummedallion #entrepeneur #losangeles #detroit #expansion by @zaracreative

Iā€™ve spent the past 20 plus years building a career primarily centered around telling othersā€™ stories: as a TV reporter, radio host, producer and director. Curiosity and questions have been my guides throughout all of my creative endeavorsā€¦ but I realized in my early thirties that I didnā€™t spend much time asking *myself* questions. Especially the big ones. What do I really want? What does success look like to me? Do I want kids? Who am I? Tuning in to myself has been the ultimate journey of exploration, confusion, clarity, learning and unlearningā€¦ and Iā€™m ready to share in an attempt to embrace my most authentic self and hopefully be of service along the way. I became a journalist, storyteller and filmmaker because reading, watching and hearing other peopleā€™s stories have been the greatest forms of inspiration and healing in my own life. And so Iā€™m talking about all things under the umbrella of personal, professional and spiritual development. So far Iā€™ve got episodes on solo travel, entrepreneurship, career pivots, relationships, meditation, therapy, psychedelics, astrology, being childfree by choice, being a first generation American, moving across the country, and grief. What are you curious about? What topics would you tune in for? Iā€™d love to know! Tuning In with Heather Zara is coming soon. Stay tuned and thank you for your curiosity. ā¤ļø by @zaracreative
