“I come as one, but I stand as ten thousand.” — Maya Angelou. To my Dear Old College Home, Thank you for being more than a school, you have became my home. At JSU, I found not only an education but an environment that affirmed me, challenged me, and prepared me to walk boldly in my purpose. Jackson State University has poured into me the wisdom of generations and the strength of community. I leave JSU more grounded and ready than ever to impact the world. To my Village, You believed in me on the days when I doubted myself. You challenged me to go further, dig deeper, and to always lead with heart. Whether it was a words of encouragement, a opened door, or a quiet moment of understanding. You showed me the power of support and the beauty of community. Every step of my journey was made possible by your guidance, love, and sacrifice. You were the ones who saw my potential even when I was still growing into it.......and I am forever grateful. “Pretty is as Pretty Does.” To my beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I am writing this with so much gratitude and love in my heart. Thank you for molding me into the beautiful young woman I am today. Reflecting on my journey, I am overwhelmed by the sisterhood, growth, and purpose I have experienced because of the Oh So Glamorous Ladies of Gamma Rho. From the moment I became part of this cherished sisterhood, I felt embraced and seen. Each of you has poured compassion and strength into me. You held me accountable.
