It is with the heaviest of hearts I say goodbye to my soulmate, my girl, my old lady bestie, and the best granny in the world. This last year I was hell bent on giving you the best year ever, I had no idea what was coming or when, but God showed me that was my mission. I took it seriously. I showered you with love. Jose and I learned how to plan “granny friendly date nights”, we took you with us all the time, even if that meant strapping your wheelchair to the back of our car. We made sure we gave you so many flowers, we made sure you saw fireworks for the fourth, and gave you extra cuddles and a great gift on Christmas. It has been just a beautiful year of my mom, Jose, and I showering my Granny with love and adoration. Supporting her, caring for her, giving her love, and making sure she felt safe and cared for. It wasn’t always easy, sometimes it was hard. I’ve never been a caretaker for anyone.. ever… but I learned to be yours because you needed me and I’d never let you down. I learned how to do stuff for you I never in my wildest dreams would’ve thought I was capable of, but it was you, so there was no “no”. We have a matching birth mark on our wrists, I’ll cherish mine forever because I know it ties us together in every life time. You’ve taught me so much. You’ve taught me what the true meaning of unconditional love means. I showered you with love because you gave me so much over my life time. I gave you your flowers because I wanted you to get to smell them. I gave you hugs so you could feel my warmth. I gave you kisses, so you could feel my love. I gave you everything I had so you would always know how much you will always mean to me. In the end, I kept my promise to you, that we made years ago. I promised you, that I would be with you until the end, that I’d never abandon you. I never left your side Granny, and it was just you in your bed, me on a cot on the floor, Rosko at my feet, and Jose in the other room. Getting love and sweet words every hour as you neared closer to the gates. It’s always been us, it will always be us. Thank you Granny for everything, I love you forever and a day. Kiss Daddy and Bleaux. See you in our next life time. 💕👼🏾 by @zariagarley
I can’t even begin to express how heavy my heart is. Yesterday, we had to say goodbye to my sweet dog Bleaux. For those who know me, know, I took him everywhere like he was a lap dog. He was my best friend. Getting a dog in your twenties is like such a spiritual experience because it feels like we grew up together, he saw me through all of my shambly years and now he’s seen me become a woman. I got him after a home invasion. I couldn’t sleep for days before I got him. After I adopted him, I felt so safe, it was just me and my pitty against the world. I would always tell him that we saved each other. He made me love the outdoors. He made me an active girl. We lost him to cancer which just hurts the worst. Bleaux was literally the sweetest, most perfect boy, everyone who met him fell in love with his handsome face and his sweet demeanor. He was also just sooo smart. I see him everywhere, I honestly don’t think I know how to stop crying because losing my son is just breaking my heart, but I know he’s in a better place. I’ll miss our walks, hearing him sing to Mercy by Big Sean. He also loved Meg the stallion, and glorilla, very on brand. I’ll miss the belly rubs, the kisses, the hugs, the barks, and the cuddles. I know he’s in Heaven with my Dad getting all the love he deserves. I’m so grateful to have loved him and I’m so grateful that he chose me to be his mom. 🐶🦴👼🏾💙 by @zariagarley

maybe i AM delusional… but i refuse to shrink my dreams to make them more realistic for other people. 🤍✨ i want MORE out of life, and i’m finally okay with admitting that. the life i envision for myself is the life i’m going to work for. tell me i’m not the only girl who feels this way. 🥹🥂 #BecomingHer #WomenWithAmbition #PersonalGrowthJourney #ClevelandCreator #lifestyleinfluencer by @zariagarley
girl, take a breath. 🤍 relax your shoulders. unclench your jaw. let your tongue fall from the roof of your mouth. take a deep breath in… and slowly release it. now, give yourself some credit. you’ve made it through every hard day so far, and you deserve a moment of peace, too. 🧘🏽‍♀️✨ save this for the moments when life feels like a little too much. take what you need, pretty girl. 💗 #BreathBreak #GentleReminder #MindfulMoments #SelfCareForWomen #ThatGirlEra WellnessTok BecomingHer by @zariagarley
