2025 Blaine Harbor Music Festival Moments

What an incredible journey it's been. From attending as an audience member my first year, to volunteering the next, and now, being honored to serve on the board and help bring this festival to life in my third year.

It’s been a truly rewarding (and yes, at times exhausting!) experience.

To the faculty, volunteers, audience members, and my fellow board members, thank you for making this such a memorable year. Your passion and dedication are what make this festival so special.

Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!

👻Happy Halloween🎃

I dressed up in the traditional dress of Chile's national dance, the Cueca (though with a bit of a modern twist). With my trip to 🇨🇱Chile🇨🇱 last year, I learned a lot about my family that I didn't know before.

To be honest, I feel disappointed in myself. I had many years to learn more, but I never did. The parts that my mother did share, I rejected because of its "difference in what I am used to." In doing that, I rejected a lot of what my mother holds dear. Only, as I became older and found the need to learn more about where I came from have I tried to embrace everything that I rejected before. Though, sometimes, I feel my efforts seem insincere.

Though I still have a lot to learn, I loved wearing this. I was always jealous of my international friends who wore their own country's traditional dress, and I finally got the chance to do that, too. It felt right somehow. I was happy to walk around in public and share a part of myself with others.

Though this is only the start, I hope to become more connected with my Chilean roots.

Blaine Harbor Music Festival July 7th – 13th

I had the best time being a volunteer at my local Jazz Festival, spending my days following the music of Jazz. From helping students check in, an information guide, preparing food, an audience member, and a fan, I really couldn’t think of a better way to spend a whole week.
It was a pleasure seeing the faculty again from the other side!

A little late of a post but a bucket list was achieved! I didn't know in Washington, USA I could see the Northern Lights. I forgot a Tripod so I used a rock and I am not disappointed with the pictures. It was amazing to connect with all the people that were there and compare photos. All I could say was "wow" and "pretty" lol. We weren't even sure we could see it, so when I saw a flicker of something my mom and I drove down to the beach (forgive my pajamas). It was just an amazing thing to see! taken in Washington by @zarsd

Mona Lisa Smile?

Forgot to post pictures to leave on the feed. It has finally set in that I am no longer an undergraduate student. I'm just looking for a job and a direction to go. But obviously, it is procrastinating finding one by thinking about Mona Lisa. I always wondered why the Mona Lisa had such a smile on Leo DaVinci's painting. But I think it's because Mona Lisa must have decided to pose for the picture a couple of months before she graduated college (lol). When posing for the picture, I thought, what would I be thinking when I actually graduate? Would I be happy? Or ecstatic that I am finally finished? I chose this picture because, though I was happy I graduated, it was not easy. I am happy that I am done, but I don't think I would ever do it again. I made a website of some more pictures of Korea and my thoughts on ending. So, if you want to check it out! Thank you again to everyone :)
