a little snack for moths, a little project for me 🤝 by @zatopi

obviously outerwear and shoes are not in this pic but most of my clothes fit into a wardrobe this size right now 🙂‍↔️

2020 and 2026 (i got super tired of this dress at some point so cut it into a top and a skirt to wear separately)

i was looking for a pic to use as the background here and realised that both top, jacket and jeans that i’m wearing here are, in fact, thrifted! i think slowly most of my wardrobe is evolving in that direction

this dressy corset was such a piece for me :) by @zatopi

very much on the fence about posting this reel because i’m not a chemist or a scientist. i’m just a mending and restoration enthusiast :)

but that reel reached so many people, and now i feel a responsibility to use this platform to talk about things that matter to me. the last thing i’d want is to teach people how to extend the life of their belongings, only for us to cause more harm in the process.

when i first found out about PFAS, i was surprised i’d never heard of them before. how is something that’s used in so many everyday products still such a niche knowledge?

so if this helps even a few people learn something new and make a more informed decision the next time they buy a repellent spray, i’ll put the cringe aside and share it 🤍

i honestly don’t know what this chapter of life will bring, and who this beautiful land will shape me to be. but for certain my camera roll will be all the better for it 😁much greener, too 💚 by @zatopi

me and my free will vs next-day delivery ⚔️

the adorable yarn spinner is from @springsfantasy and solves all tangling issues for me (gift!) by @zatopi

trash to treasure, but make it crafty. 🫶

for this collab with @gotbag, I took that quite literally: i made a bag charm entirely from thrifted jewellery and old leftovers, and gave those little guys a new job.

it felt especially fitting because the main material of the Moon Bag Ruffle is made with recycled fishing nets – another material that’s been discarded, but was given a whole new purpose instead.

that’s what I love about working with old things: the rescuing of something that already had a life, and then starting your own chapter with it. and in this case, that’s true for both items 🥹 by @zatopi

last summer in Amsterdam (with a sprinkle of Georgia) and it’s exactly why I wanted to see it to its calendar end. got married, got packed, got to take it all in. thank you friends, casita, cat, and the low lands ♥️🇳🇱 by @zatopi

a bit of a personal update: we’re moving from the netherlands to new zealand, and packing up our entire life has been much more emotionally intense than I expected. between the physical work, the grief of leaving a home i put so much love into, and trying to find a new home for everything we’re not taking with us I’ve had absolutely zero brain capacity left for content.

everything is finally packed now, though, and the next chapter is officially underway🥹

thank you for being here even when I occasionally fall off (plus the added pressure of “the algorithm loves consistency” and blah blah). i’ll try to be a little more alive on here again soon 🤍 by @zatopi
