GRATITUDE

As I reflect on the conclusion of this year, more specifically the events that got me to this point, the Holy Spirit placed this verse in my heart. I still find it weird how a word from God can feel so heavy yet so refreshing at the same time...

There are many things in this one verse that I could highlight but one word just happens to almost scream at me... “INTENDED”

Despite what the enemy intended to use against me, and who he decided to use against me, God also had a plan. He didn’t save me from the evil, He intended that the evil would be used for my good. In the moment I couldn’t see it and I’d be lying if I said that even now it’s always clear, but despite what I see, I choose to believe. God is working all things for my good.

So my faith is in the promise at the end of this verse. Knowing that everything I’ve endured, suffered, sacrificed and faced this year is for a greater purpose. A holy one. Nothing will be wasted, nothing was in vain. As I reflect, I can see the many people my tough journey has allowed me to impact. The souls that have been saved. And yet, this verse of scripture challenges me to think that there is still more...

So the phrase, “He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people” is how I choose to summarize this year. Through this one phrase, my heart is encouraged from the agonizing disappointment I’ve faced, my soul is refreshed from the fatigue of believing for impossible things, my spirit is revived and set on fire again to see all who I encounter also encounter the love of The Father, and my faith is restored because once again I know that God causes all things to work together for the good of them who love the Lord and to those called according to His purpose.

So yeah, this is my story. But maybe you find yourself in it as well… Maybe you, too, endured suffering and hardships this year you didn’t imagine to experience. Let this verse be a source of encouragement for you too then. With Christ, we never suffer just because. There is a greater purpose, a master plan unfolding before our dimly lit eyes. So don’t just suffer, suffer well. Many lives may be depending on your endurance... by @zaygreene_

This is such an impromptu post 😬… but the more I look at these pictures I’m overwhelmed by God’s love yet encouraged by His promise. I’m just here to say I won’t stop… until all have heard 🗣
