[I like to believe in the legend that, in this movement, Debussy was inspired by Schoenberg’s Pierrot — a strange, almost magical creature, constantly playing little tricks, which seems to fit so perfectly with the score’s indication “Fantastique et léger”. And yet, beneath this playful, almost inhuman character, there is also something strangely human about him.

Anyway, while recently reading Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita, I couldn’t help but feel that Behemoth somehow belongs to this same imaginary world: mischievous, theatrical, grotesque, magical!]

[I can’t believe it’s time to say goodbye to Winnipeg after almost three unforgettable years.

Who would’ve thought that one of the coldest places on Earth would become one of the warmest chapters of my life?

This city gave me incredible opportunities, unforgettable memories, and, most importantly, amazing people. Some of you became much more than friends—you became my chosen family.

There are so many people I want to thank, and honestly, “thank you” has probably been the phrase I’ve said the most over the past few weeks. It still doesn’t feel like enough.

I wish I could stop crying long enough to write something more poetic, but maybe that’s exactly what this post is: a little time capsule for my future self, so I never forget what this place meant to me.

🇨🇦 It’s official: I’m thrilled to share that I have been accepted into the prestigious Doctor of Musical Arts (Performance) program at Western University, in the distinguished studio of Dr. Thomas Wiebe. The next four years will be dedicated to in-depth research on Brazilian music, funded through the university’s own research programs. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who is part of this new chapter, directly or indirectly.
