Ab heute in denn @buecherhallen in Hamburg zu sehen: die Wanderausstellung »Handwerk im Gepäck. Geflüchtete aus der DDR und in der Gegenwart«.

Tape-Art-Szenografie: Die aus einfachen Grafikdisplays bestehende Ausstellung ist aufgrund der räumlichen Situation der Bibliothek zweigeteilt: DDR-Migrationsbiografien auf der einen Seite; jüngere Migrationsbiografien aus aller Welt in einem abgelegenen anderen Raum.

Die Tape Art Installation von @susanne_quehenberger und @zebra_einsnull verbindet diese beiden Bereiche entlang von Zitat-Inseln. Sie dient damit sowohl als Leitsystem, als auch als inhaltliche Brücke.

Entwickelt in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kurator @david_rojkowski

Sabine Kelka is a designer who works with screen printing, painting, and tape art. She creates both two-dimensional works and installations. Rooted in the aesthetics of graphic design, her painting deliberately breaks away from constructive rules and strict formal structures. Inspired by the textures and patterns of urban environments, she translates graphic elements-lines, grids, and color fields-into dynamic painterly compositions.

Sabine's works will be available to purchase at the Atemporal Creative Market.

Heute jährt sich zum 64. Mal der Bau der Berliner Mauer. In unserer Ausstellung „Handwerk im Gepäck“ von 2023 widmeten wir uns den Schicksalen von aus der DDR geflüchteten Handwerker:innen und ergänzten sie um Schicksale späterer Geflüchteter aus der Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syrien und dem Sudan. Ein wirklich tolles Projekt mit wunderbaren, mutigen Menschen. Zu sehen wieder im Herbst 2026 in der Hamburger Zentralbibliothek.

Two weeks ago, @angara.ki and I opened our exhibition "blueprints of solitude" at our open print studio @sdwsiebdruck. For about a year, @angara.ki digged intensively into Cyanotye techniques. She showed me the process, and I was fascinated by the smooth outcomes of the exposures. Coming from silkscreen printing, I often struggle to get these photographic details. And then, even having them exposed in this mesmerising blue.... we combined the two techniques of reproduction in our exhibition.

The results are still on display. Come by if you can!
