A beloved friend‘s daughter told me once:
„Niels, you‘re a bicycle...“ 🚲
Guess she was right... 🤔🥰✨

Winter months are coming to an end...finally...and so is my #toolbox project which was a good therapy to pass that dark "no-bike-time". It all started about 15y ago with an idea of it…and that little spark 💫 grew over the years – also by getting more ideas and inspirations from @toolboxwars and the whole community around. With a @portabraceofficial PB-2650 case this idea came to a complete new level to find a new home 🏠 for various loose tools 🔧🛠🔩⚙️ …so now that dream finally becomes reality... ✨ Check out please what I managed to realize so far. Hopefully in your eyes "enough" to have your interest. 🙌🏼😇 It’s not finished completely, but as you can see above I managed to realize 4 out of 5 tool layers so far. Each of these layers made out of @sealey 5-layer-pickfoam – which is cut to 3 and 4 layers as well. And because this was not difficult enough to me each layer needs to be replacable and has to come out of the box. 😅 Just in order to get to the layer underneath as well. Therefore, on top...or better said...at the bottom of each of layer there is an aluminum u-profile that stabilizes the layer in order to carry the tool load of it. So, there will be an update when I‘ve done so. ⬆️ Inspired by another user from the #ToolboxWars clan I will try to establish some kind of a shelf which will be made partially with @diy_element_system parts. This will be good! 🙌🏼💯 Right now the box contains tools from @parktoolblue , @topeak , @weratool , @hazet_1868_official , @knipex_official , @dtswiss , @rotorbike , @bikecomponents , @bbbcycling , @lezyneofficial , @kstools_com , @conmetallmeister , @rideshimano , @ironsideinternational , @stahlwilletoolexperts , @syncrosbike , @cyclustools , @pedrosbikecare , @brinko_gmbh , @birzman , @wuerth_group , @ethirteencomponents … #diytoolbox #toolbox #tooltime #portabrace #pelicancase #pelican #peli #tools by @zedriq

After spending hundreds of kilometers in the past few days on my bike it was the time for some maintainance. 🔧⚙️🔩 Today I met up with my neighbor to take the next step with our @gtbicycles bmx project which started in the beginning of COVID. Now it‘s time for 2K transparent coating. 🙌🏼💎 Well, my grandpa used to say: „Good things come to those who wait...“ ✨ #oldschoolbmx #gtperformer #gtmachone #oldskool #santaana #madeincalifornia #madeinjapan #gtbicycles #gtbikes #gtbmx #performer #machone #bmxracer #bmxflatland #midschool #nodyno by @zedriq

…because the gravel made me do it. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Another bike??! 🤦🏼🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏻🙄😅 Yes, I just needed another adequate gravel bike for home soil...preferably Supergravel with old MTB geometry. And that in good old steel...because #onlysteelisthereal right?!👨🏼‍⚕️☝🏼 Since I had a lot of old MTB Parts lying around - which fit really well I think 🤔 - the initial dream from January now became reality.
