3 years in the making 🪦

This weekend I’m going B2B with @ryou.up for Graveyard Shift at @soundwellslc .

Wild to think we met 3 years ago at the very first @artistinvitationalslc . I started @artistinvitationalslc because I wanted a place to connect with other producers in our scene, share music, and build something together.

Fast forward 3 years and we’ve become good friends, shared plenty of stages, supported each other’s projects, and both kept pushing for the same thing: keeping this scene fun, welcoming, and about the music and the people around it.

And somehow after ALL of that… we have ZERO photos together 😂

So I guess we’ll have to fix that this weekend.

All Rise

We’re proud to officially welcome @zee4zbra to CourtRoom Records. ⚖️

Originally from San Francisco and now based in Salt Lake City, ZBRA is a DJ and producer known for blending house, bass house, UK garage, and tech house into groove driven tracks built for the dancefloor. Raised by a bass playing father and a record collecting mother, music has always been a huge part of his life. Since getting behind the decks in 2015, he’s developed a sound driven by rolling basslines, catchy grooves, and high energy club vibes.

Over the years, ZBRA has performed at Das Energi Festival, Dancefestopia, and EPW Festival, while sharing the stage with artists like Tchami, Habstrakt, Moksi, Noizu, Deeper Purpose, John 00 Fleming, Donald Glaude, Aaron Jackson, and Thee-O. He’s also a back to back Dancefestopia YBR Tour Champion, taking home the title in both 2023 and 2024, and continues to build his name through original productions and energetic performances.

Outside of DJing and producing, ZBRA is the creator of the Artist Invitational, a monthly event that highlights original electronic music. Since launching it in 2023, the showcase has brought together producers, DJs, labels, and music fans to connect, share new music, and help grow Utah’s electronic music community.

His music has landed on Intrinsik Records, Occult Cats Records, Thicc Freqness Records, and CourtRoom Records, and his remix of “MAMI” reached #9 on the Hypeddit Remix Chart.

Whether he’s behind the decks, in the studio, or helping bring artists together, ZBRA’s goal is simple: make great music, keep people dancing, and continue building a stronger community through electronic music.

And now, he’s bringing that same energy to CourtRoom Records.

This is just the beginning.

Skimmed through some old journal entries and this one hit home. Success can mean something different for everyone. For me I want to be able to create regardless of a peak or a valley. Peaks and valleys are temporary - a reminder to build a strong foundation so that neither can change your direction. by @zee4zbra

Checkpoint(z). “10 feet away.”

I’ve been processing this moment since opening for one of my all-time favorites, @tchami , @themarquispc and that phrase keeps repeating in my head.

10 feet away.

Is it the love for music?
The bonds formed through sound?
The drive to chase a feeling not a destination?

Standing 10 feet away from someone I consider one of the greats, I felt the start of a new chapter. A quiet realization that years of work - every late night, every risk - led me right there. 10 feet away from whatever it is I’m chasing.

This moment put everything into perspective:
How far hard work can carry you.
How lucky I am to have found something that brings out my truest self.
And how important it is to be fully present - because no amount of predicting the future adds value to the moment you’re living in.

Luck = preparation meeting opportunity.

That “luck” led to a handshake and a moment of gratitude shared with @tchami .

It led to opening at the iconic @themarquispc for @v2presents ,
And it led to being surrounded by all of you who continue to show up and fuel the ZBRA train.

The last 10 feet is still a long road - but looking back at the million miles already traveled, I can only say thank you for sharing these moment(z) with me.

2026 is going to be the year of magic. Feel free to take your hand off the wheel a bit, buckle in, and enjoy the rewards.
