शायद जिन हाथों में इनकी डोर होती थी,
उनकी उम्र हो चली है।
कभी रहा करती थी जो रौनक आज़ादी की शाम की,
आज घर के कमरों में आराम कर रही है।
मेरे आकाश से पतंगे ख़त्म सी हो गई है।
छतों पे होता था जो शोर लोगो का।
आज कल ज़रा कम हो चला है।
शायद लोगो ने पतंगे काटना बंद कर दिया है।

आज़ादी की शाम के इस आसमान में पतंगे ज़रा कम सी हो चली है।

In life, the kind that I’ve been blessed enough to live. ‘The Joy of Living’ has always trumped the challenges that life threw my way.
This past year affirmed what I’ve always believed that it all works out.

Things meant for you, they reach you.
Memories you’re meant to make, you make.
Love, which is for you, would reach you.
The Battles, You live through them.

The greatest part is being surrounded by such great Love and Affection, A family filled with Bliss. Friends, the kind who lift you up and at whose wedding you have happy Tears. The joy of sights, time, taste and scent. The warmth of the setting sun and the hope of a cool dawn and being surrounded by abundant faith.

You meet people in life and somehow end up spending years together as friends not knowing or even caring about what the days to come ahead might have in store. You just move along, watching sunsets, Spending hours laughing at jokes only you guys can understand or doing stunts involving papayas that no one should even know about and then the days ahead you didn’t care about! They become the present and you’re introduced to someone as pretty as the person you did all the aforementioned things with and bond with that new person like she’s been around forever.

Then one day you see them all decked up, eyes tired of all the rush they both have endured over the past three months. Nervous yet calm in each other’s presence, holding hands and just coming to grip with the fact they’re getting married, finally, in presence of the people who cherish them, cheering as they move slowly towards the stage, witnessing all of this, you’re filled with an emotion you can’t explain and just feel elated that people who you call friends are now Husband and Wife and you were there to see Love having another moment of glory in someone’s life as they’re together away from everyone else on stage, sharing a laugh, the eyes now lit up with Joy.
