Had the privilege to be apart of another @polynesianafshow a few weekends ago. This time around felt different because I wasn’t so in my head the entire time about my ability as a live sketch performer. Also there were 2 nights this time so I had family and friends that could attend! Last show sold out so quickly!

Met some amazing people, great friends & collaborators in this show who are amazingly talented!! Loved the backstage shenanigans & heart to hearts with my Sissys 😭 #RiceGirls2DaWorld

And to the diva who I met randomly at a creative morning, who took a chance on me 😭 @anette.arinix love you for allowing me the space to flourish and fulfill my dreams (of being Raven Baxter lollllll!) and pushing me beyond my own comfort zone!! 😅Got your back sister always😭

Ballroom was a result of the pageant system rigging pageants in favor of white contestants. So when ballroom girls return to the pageant stage, we stand on the foundation that these femme queens (& BQUID) have set for us to shine on!

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned from leading this house?
Leading is always from the back. People don’t care how much you know til they know how much you care. I’ve learned from being led by others myself, of what I desire in a leader. So striving to become the leader I’ve desired to have in my life, is the lesson of this season.

What has been the most rewarding moment being a God Mother in this house?
The most rewarding moment is actually winning GP in Australia. I have been commentating for all the balls we throw here in Hawaii, so winning that was so rewarding! As I am usually the one announcing the winners at these balls lol.
But also, HONOZULU was a huuuuuge bucket list check for me! I didn’t dance but I rewatch the video all the time, cause my girls CARRIED 🥹🫶

How do you see this house evolving in the future?
The evolution is happening currently. We are just a small part of the bigger picture! Can’t wait to see Many houses from Hawai’i battling and hosting balls that WE attend, walk, & judge at! A communi-tea 😌

Favorite quote from a Zamora member?

This look was a build up/culmination of many ideas. I think best way to describe it is a final evolution form from my original red bandana look.

This look is very special to me because it speaks to my upbringing as a child. The BANJEE kunt divas that helped raised me. My mother is from KAM4 Hollywood so are lots of my aunties, cousins, friends, etc. (although the bulk of my family are from KPT lol, so blue bandana look loading as well🤭)
