We grew up watching cable TV, playing outside until the streetlights came on, running down the ice cream man, and thinking we had FOREVER to figure life out.

Now we are here and the decisions we make right now are helping shape the next 30 years of our lives.

Our health.
Our money.
Our careers.
Our relationships.
Our children’s future.
Our retirement.

We’re not old, but we’re not kids anymore either. The good news is we still have time.

Time to build wealth.
Time to get healthy.
Time to go back to school.
Time to start the business.
Time to heal.
Time to change direction.

RUGRAT BABIES… WE’RE UP. 🧡 The new PTA moms, Coach dads, aunts, uncles, professionals, and family/community leaders. Let’s do it! We got this🫶🏾 by @zeex0x

Once you figure out who you are..

Go where you are valued.
Go where you are respected.
Go where you are accepted.
Go where your effort is recognized.
& Go where there is room for you to learn & grow.

Remember It’s okay for you to move around.

Not out of bitterness & Not to prove a point.

But because your time, energy & mental is important too. 🫶🏾 by @zeex0x

The best thing you can do for yourself is find what works for you in your “current season”.

Not what used to work for you.
Not what worked for others

What actually works for YOU right now!

Take a real, honest deep dive into where you are in this moment. Your time. Your energy. Your responsibilities. Your body. Your mindset. Your priorities.

Then build a system around the way you want to feel.

Whatever that feeling is, don’t just hope you get there. Build your life intentionally around it.

Give yourself permission to change the plan when your life changes. by @zeex0x

10 years ago, we decided to make it official. Little did I know that we would literally grow up together and build something we couldn’t have even fathomed back then.

I’m so grateful that time has been good to us. The experiences shared. The memories. The family we’ve built.

Through every challenge, every accomplishment, and every joyful moment, I mean it when I say there’s nobody I was more meant to share those moments with.

I’ve always taken this relationship to heart, and I always will. Thank you for loving me through every life transition and allowing me to love you through yours.

10 years later, I’m still about you… no question❤️ by @zeex0x

Some progress is better than no progress, especially in a season where it’s hard to see that meter moving because there’s so much going on.

Don’t forget, progress isn’t always about doing something hard. Sometimes it’s about doing what matters.

Every time you make an intentional choice to take care of something, show up for yourself, or move one step closer to what you want, you’re creating momentum.

So for whatever it is worth to you, take one step. It doesn’t have to be today. Maybe it’s tomorrow, or next week. There ain’t no perfect timeline for “your” progress. The only way we truly fail is when we stop trying.

And It doesn’t have to be a giant step.
It just needs to be intentional.

Toddler moms who are into fitness know that sometimes mama duties simply become more of a priority than getting into the gym.

I found myself in deep contemplation, thinking, How can I satisfy both needs?

Biking definitely isn’t my exercise of choice, but it does allow me to stay active without separating myself from baby girl for 2–3 hours at a time.

And she LOVES it.

Waving at everyone on the trail. Pointing out the animals she sees. Coasting. Feeling the rush of the hills. Just taking it all in while Mama gets her workout in.

I’m realizing this is part of the sacrifice not necessarily giving up the things that matter to me, but being willing to do them differently.

It’s making me a better thinker, a better multiplier, and a better mom.

I get my cardio. She gets an adventure.
I get the hills. She gets the wind.
I challenge my body, and she gets to experience the world right alongside me.

The sacrifice isn’t always doing without. Sometimes the sacrifice is being willing to do it differently. by @zeex0x

The other day I was looking at paint and was reminded how much one color can change a whole room.

Some colors make a space feel bigger. Some make it feel smaller. Some brighten everything up, and some can make the same room feel a little dark and heavy.

And sometimes there’s nothing wrong with the old color… it just doesn’t match the season or mood you’re in anymore.

I think life works the same way.

Every now and then, you have to look at what’s around you, your routines, your friendships, your conversations, the places you spend most of your time and ask yourself. Does this still feel like me?..

You don’t always have to tear the whole room apart. Sometimes you just need a new shade, an accent wall, a piece of art that feels good.

And everybody else might not even notice the difference.

But you will. ☕️ by @zeex0x

Five years ago, I bought this lawnmower from a thrift store for $40.

At the time, I was on a budget, but I still wanted to keep our yard maintained. So I bought what made sense at the time and got to work, not even knowing how to maintain a yard lol.

That same $40 lawnmower has never been covered, has weathered every storm and every season, and somehow still comes through when I need it. 😂

Today my yard guy wasn’t available, and after just dropping a stack on a new water heater, I figured I could stand to save a few dollars somewhere lol (please don’t invite me nowhere until janurary 🤣)

So out came the $40 lawnmower.

A little sweat equity later, the yard was handled, I got a workout in, and some money stayed in my pocket.

It reminded me that being financially responsible isn’t always about what you can afford.

Sometimes it’s recognizing what you don’t need to pay for.

We talk about investing like it always has to be stocks, property, or some big financial move. Sometimes the investment is $40, taking care of what you already own, and being willing to put in a little work.

Five years later, that $40 is still paying dividends.

And after that water heater…every dividend counts. 😂☕️

Why yall didn’t tell me bout them water heaters?? 😒😂 by @zeex0x

I’ve been thinking…

Anything that’s expected to last usually has some form of maintenance.

Whether it’s a car, a home, a business, or a relationship, someone eventually has to stop, check in, make adjustments, and keep it going.

I don’t think our lives are any different.

The world will always have an agenda for your us. Deadlines. Expectations. Opinions. Distractions…and if we don’t pause, we’ll spend so much time building everything else that we forget to keep building ourselves.

Every so often, I sit down with a cup of coffee and ask myself a few honest questions:

-Is my health where I want it to be?
-Are my finances supporting the life I’m trying to build?
-Am I spending my time on what actually matters to me?
-Do my habits still align with my goals?
-How can I support the people and things I care about.

Not because everything is falling apart.

Because maintenance is much easier, and usually less expensive, than a major repair. by @zeex0x

I’ve been intentional this year about creating inner and outer spaces that feel good.

This space wasn’t about making the “perfect” looking room. I didn’t follow the design or color rules, or worry about if everything matched. I just filled it with things that make me feel like me: coffee, books, comfort, creativity, learning, inspiration, gadgets, and a quiet place to think.

Honestly…that’s been my approach to life lately too.

Something I did differently this time was hang up some of my degrees, awards, and certificates. Not because I needed a reminder of what I’ve done, but because for the first time I actually paused long enough to be proud of myself…and grateful for the journey. *Deep sigh

One night while I was building, my oldest walked in, looked around, smiled, and said, “I’m proud of you. You really put a lot of work into the house.” Then she quietly walked away.

Those words carried so much weight, but also the relief of “I’m doing something right, and my girls are watching”.

Now when they walk into this room, I hope they see more than framed degrees and awards. I hope they see what’s possible. I hope they see that hard work, faith, consistency, building positive connections, and a little courage can completely change your life.

Sometimes investing in your space is really investing in yourself.

Welcome to our family workspace where creativity thrives, ideas become reality, perspectives collaborate and learning opens the door to all that’s possible.🤎📚☕️ by @zeex0x
