Hey, I’m Diamond Wade; based in Kentucky.

I find the possibilities of abstract work endless and its potential to move you powerful. And there's something about wearing actual art that has always drawn me.

All in all, I really want to make things that are beautiful, make you feel good, and inspire you to be creative yourself!

Anyway, welcome and enjoy the ride! 🎢

Runnin’ it back to semester two of my BFA Fibers “Thesis”! The process was long and hard to juggle in the midst of my last semester, but the work I made was a long awaited dream come true! This is only the beginning!

Still my favorite thing I’ve ever made, here’s the hero dress of my second semester BFA work!

This dress was literally a dream come true, from the pattern to the silhouette. It is the closest I’ve ever come to actually realizing the type of clothes I’ve been wanting to make. I can’t wait to show y’all what I’ve been working on in the meantime 👀

Sewing pattern is the Faye Dress from @hubbadingpatterns , though I’ve shortened it a bit.

Now presenting our hero pattern: Everbloom!
It’s loose and dreamy, yet full of life.

It always reminds me of cut flowers floating on a pond at different times of the day.

Which color way do you prefer?

More EverGarden sketches.🌷

My process is very iterative, often painting from references directly until I get it right. It’s freeing to know I don’t have to perfect things on the first try. And sometimes better ideas emerge.

But if all else fails, I usually have pages of motifs to hack together in Photoshop :)

Perhaps, we should all pick up gardening. They say it isn’t too late to start! What would you plant? 🌱
