Can you imagine what it would be like to drive a flying oversized bass guitar?... would be pretty rad ngl 😂 From finished product, to initial sketch! Here's a close look at the process my friend @euromorenoart went through to create this beautiful artwork for "SLAPPP" which he finished recently. It took a long while, but it was all totally worth the wait, Initially i envisioned the idea of producing an animated music video for this track... but i had to give up on that since it was too ambitious and way out of our budget and resources right now, so i settled with having a very nice illustration i could use as cover art, i hope y'all love it as much as i do ❤️ by @zelgeon

Piano roll view of "Merengue" by @gchakarji
little midi transcription i did yesterday for fun ❤️

This gorgeous and dreamy tune by Gabriel Chakarji in 5/8 is inspired by modern venezuelan merengue as its name implies, not to be confused with Dominican merengue which shares the same name but is an entirely different genre. The most important figure in venezuelan merengue in the 20th century was maestro Luis Laguna, born in Guacara in 1926, lived most of his life in our city Maracay, founder of "Venezuela 4", an ensemble that left an indelible mark in our culture.

Here is the premiere of our piece "Danza del Becerrito de Azúcar" (Medley El Becerrito [Simón Diaz] and Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy [Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky]) for Percussion Trio, performed together with our friend @miguelp_29. This was done as part of our participation in the Seminar Tiempo de Flauta y Bajo @tiempodeflautaybajo at El Sistema Maracay, directed by maestros José Antonio and Telésforo Naranjo.

In the first video, it was the first time we played it during the auditions of the soloists in the seminar at the @nucleomaracay and below is the video of the premiere at the Teatro de la Opera de Maracay (full house) on July 1, 2023.

Thanks to El Sistema for this great opportunity and great experiences. In retrospect, three years ago this seemed like an unattainable achievement, but eventually the effort and work paid off! taken in Maracay, Aragua by @zelgeon
