Every carbon credit starts with a farmer. Yet for years, farmers have seen little of the value their land generates.

Between an African smallholder and the global carbon market sits a chain of up to eight intermediaries — each taking a cut, and each creating more distance between the farmer and the value of their land.

Foovante Global built Crevy to change that. A digital MRV platform designed to reduce that chain to just three, bring verification closer to the field, and return more of every carbon credit’s value to African hands. by @zeloshq

1/ Zelos Builders Day was a movie! Here’s what went down 🧵

2/ @YawAntwiOwusu demoed Pubfas — generate your YouTube publishing pack in seconds.

3/ @jdghinson walked through his AI-powered UI/UX design workflow, combining Paper, Cosmos, Claude, ChatGPT, and Figma into one seamless process — from idea to execution.

4/ chris showed off MoonAI — efficient models, real outputs, no dependency on expensive infrastructure.

5/ @xpeditionhubert presented Visit Zelos — a media and community brand that’s part publication, part events platform, part cultural movement. Built around the idea that African stories of progress and innovation deserve serious, craft-driven storytelling.

6/ @DedeCodex hosted a panel discussion with @Sedem233, @YawAntwiOwusu, and @Sir_BrianAO on “Rethinking How We Build — The New Path to Software Building with AI.”

7/ AI can now generate code, prototype interfaces, and accelerate workflows in ways that were unimaginable just a few years ago. But faster doesn’t always mean better. The real shift isn’t in the tools — it’s in how we think about the process.

8/ Major thanks to everyone who showed up despite the rain! Meant a lot.

There’s more to a creative career than the work you put in your portfolio. There are ideas to explore, people to learn from, opportunities to find and work happening beyond your immediate circle.

Zelos (@zeloshq) documents the people and ideas shaping Africa’s digital and creative landscape. Through its curated community, product showcases, editorial stories and independent media, it gives designers and creatives more ways to discover new work, share what they’re making and connect with others across the continent.

We’re pleased to have Zelos joining DDC26 as a Media Partner. 🤝🏾

There’s a big difference between talking about AI and figuring out how it can actually change your earning power.

That was the conversation at ALX Hub on Saturday.

Over 70 people came into the room with different skills, different experiences, and different questions. By the end, the conversation had moved beyond AI as a buzzword and into something much more practical: how do you take what you already know, use the tools available to you, and turn it into something people will actually pay for?

That’s the kind of conversation we want to keep having at SydCrest.

Practical. Honest. Useful.

To our speakers, our support team, @alx_ghana Hub, @zeloshq , and @unit_foundation, we're grateful. by @zeloshq

About Event
Who Is This For?
The HerChain Design Lab is designed for women who are interested in digital design, technology, creativity, and building practical skills they can apply to personal projects, businesses, startups, and digital products.

No prior Figma experience is required. Whether you’re completely new to design or have some experience and want to strengthen your skills, you’re welcome.

About the Design Lab
Join HerChain for a practical and beginner-friendly Figma Design Lab focused on introducing participants to the fundamentals of digital product and interface design.

The Design Lab is also an opportunity to learn, experiment, connect, and build alongside other women interested in technology and digital skills.

What You’ll Learn
Throughout the session, participants will explore:

* Figma and its interface

* Colours and visual styling

* Alignment, spacing, and layout

* Images and design elements

* Basic UI/UX design principles

* Components and reusable elements

* Creating a simple digital interface

* Basic design workflow and exporting

What to Bring
Please come prepared with:

Filmed “Prompt to Production: How AI is Rewriting Software Engineering” in Accra.

Developers, builders, and tech people in a room, talking about how quickly the way we build software is changing.

Good conversations, real demos, and a lot of questions about where all of this is heading.

We said we'd show up with something real. We meant it.

Saturday at ALX Hub, over 70 people came together for Monetizing Your Skills With AI, and what happened in that room is exactly what SydCrest is built for. Real stories, real numbers, honest conversations about what it actually takes to turn a skill into income.

To everyone who registered, who showed up, who stayed through to the end, and who asked the questions everyone else was thinking, thank you. You made it worth it.

To our speakers, our support team, @alx_ghana Hub, @zeloshq , and @unit_foundation, we're grateful.

This was our first event in Accra. It won't be the last. by @zeloshq

Behind the pitches and panels, a lot of people were trying to answer very practical questions.

Do we build with the models available now, or wait for better infrastructure? How do you regulate a technology when the business models around it are still changing? And how much can people actually build with the tools they already have? by @zeloshq

Everyone agrees Africa needs to build AI; the harder part is agreeing on what "building" actually means when the compute is rented, the models are foreign, and the data pipelines run through infrastructure the continent doesn't yet control.

You can localize a chatbot in a weekend. Sovereign infrastructure takes longer. That's the execution gap the whole week was named after, and it's a real one worth naming. by @zeloshq

Markets never stand still. New Problems, New Opportunities, New Possibilities, the tools need to move with them, because builders don't just imagine what's next; they build it.

@zeloshq had the privilege of covering TEDx 2026.

What happens between us can shape what becomes possible.

At TEDxAccra 2026, Symbiosis became more than a conversation about partnership. It became a look at the relationships between people, systems, technology, businesses, environments, and the things we build together.

Across different voices and different perspectives, one question kept emerging:

What should a partnership leave behind?

Knowledge. Capability. Resilience. Greater agency.

TEDxAccra 2026: Symbiosis.

The Lineup:
@kabsseidu | @emmanueloseintim | @ama_yeboaa_ | @afrikawiafe | @katya_thedestroyer | @iamrachaeltmenson | @ibrahimmahama3
