My pal Howard Cunnell’s much awaited’Sun Country’ is out today.

One of my all time favourites.
I’ve been tattooing @dominicjuantansley for over 20 years. We started our tattoo collaboration at ‘Good Karma’ Eastbourne.
▫️▫️▫️
Ever since then Dom has followed me to various studio spaces, from Into you Brighton, my home space in Ovingdean, to Robs in Arundel, then Nowhere in Lewes , and now to @nowhere_tattooing in Brighton.
▫️▫️▫️
It is an honour to have gained your trust and to have allowed me to tattoo you.
Thank you Dom for your support, dedication and unwavering friendship.

Years ago we lived in Alfriston, I gardened all around the local villages ,Berwick, Chalvington, Ripe etc, mowing and hedging. I ended up gardening for a local Labour MP and tending his 7 acre Sussex downland garden, it had Gertrude Jekyll borders surrounding the house.
Being close to nature and the seasons were some of the happiest days of my life.
Recently I’ve had the opportunity to return by lending a hand on my dharma brothers rewilding project @wilderlandsrewilding

You might want to volunteer on a tree planting day or other projects such as wild flower sowing, theres always plenty to see and do. Check out the highland cattle !

For all those @xed_lehead Heads - OM (AUM)

I tattooed ‘OM’ on Xed at ‘Good Karma’
Eastbourne circa 96 might have been earlier ?
▫️▫️▫️
Xed was a regular visitor to the shop , at that time he lived and worked from his home in Hastings.
Although he dabbled with rotaries, I think he was still working by hand at this time, however, not long after this xed asked me to drive him up to @mickysharpzuk to get a pair of machines.
Whilst tattooing by hand Xed had developed a ‘dotwork’ technique (that we all know now) then transferred this to his machine tattooing.
Always pushing the boundaries and developing new ways of composition that interacted with the body’s form , that was truly spectacular.
Specialising in geometric and pattern, he has left an enormous legacy that has not only become a staple in tattooing but in image and merchandising design that is now worldwide.

An extraordinary character I won’t easily forget .

My Dad came to stay… tattoos, bike rides, great food , doughnuts, iced chai, home cinema nights ( Sinners and Every Little Thing (about a woman in LA that rescues hummingbirds)), local honey and bilberries. Great memories made and new ink to remember ✨ @zen_not_zen @nowhere_tattooing by @zen_not_zen
