I need to finish the portraits of my nephews for my sister before my mum leaves — so I’m fully focused! 🎨

The skin tones are done so far, next comes the hair… (right now they look strange, but I thought to do the skin without messing up with the hair 😅), and then some minimal decoration on the clothes and the rug. I’m keeping it subtle and delicate as my sister @zhuldyz_kozhakanova asked.

Yesterday I started decorating my girls’ PSP case — the old plastic cover had become all sticky and scratched. Since they still enjoy games like Hot Brain and Little Big Planet, I thought: why not make it less sticky and more personalised?

I covered it with my homemade watercolour ground (with a bit of plaster mixed in), and honestly, it works so well — no more stickiness, and it’s such a smooth surface to paint on! I’m using my Fine Line miniature brushes with acrylics, and can’t wait to show you the final look… featuring some monochromatic furry friends! :))
