🇲🇾 7 Zen Habits for a Peaceful Life 🌿

You’ve probably seen the word “Zen” everywhere lately

But Zen is not just about being calm

It’s more about how you live
Being present
Doing things with intention
And learning to slow down in a world that is always rushing

Here are 7 simple Zen habits you can bring into your everyday life

① Declutter Your Space Clear Your Mind 🏠

Put things back where they belong
Clear away the clutter
A tidy space can make your mind feel a little lighter too

② Take Time to Enjoy Your Food 🍚

Slow down and enjoy your meal
Put your phone aside
Taste your food
Be present for the little things

③ Do One Thing at a Time 🚶

Eat when you eat
Walk when you walk
Read when you read

Give your attention to what you’re doing
Instead of always thinking about what comes next

④ Find Meaning in the Little Things 🫖

Make your tea
Wash the dishes
Fold your clothes

They may seem like small things
But taking care of them with intention is a way of taking care of yourself

⑤ Live With Less 📦

We all have things we keep just in case

Take a moment to ask yourself
Do I really need this

Keep what matters
Let go of what doesn’t

Less clutter means more room for what truly matters

⑥ Stop Rushing Into What’s Next 🕰️

Sometimes your body is here
But your mind is already somewhere else

Tomorrow
Next month
Next year

Take a breath
Come back to where you are

You don’t have to figure everything out at once

⑦ Leave Room for Nothing ☁️

Your day doesn’t have to be packed from morning to night

Have a cup of tea
Look out the window
Take a slow walk

Or simply do nothing for a while

Because Zen is not about having a perfect life

It’s about learning to live quietly
Even when life is far from perfect

Sometimes what needs to change is not your life
But the way you see it 🍵🌿

I seriously didn’t expect that a place like that exists in Malaysia, and is only about 3.5 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur!

When we first booked our stay for @zenbystellar, I had this vision that it’s going to be a quiet, reflective getaway. But I ended up with so much more than that.

The thoughtfully designed Japanese trails and gardens made us want to walk and explore, especially since the weather was cool.

The outdoor bath tub paired with the amazing view was also my fave this entire trip (kid you not, I even went into the tub at night in the cold because I loved the tranquility so much)

The sound of the rain, water flowing into the bath tub, insects and frogs calling out after the rain… all just felt so so so healing for my soul 🥹🥹🥹

So now we’re even more excited for our honeymoon to Japan in November. Do send us your tips/suggestions for Osaka and Kyoto… pls and thx!!! 🇯🇵✨
