POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Announcement!📢📢

Hello Friends!!👋👋

I've been a little quiet on here regarding plants lately and that will continue.

You see, this page was never meant for just plants. I have so much more I want to do with ZenfulDLF, but plants have grown into a passion I can't ignore.🪴

So, I started a page just for plants.🙌🌱🥳🌿✨🪴

BUT...

I have SO many thoughts and ideas for this new page. I'll have some fun, exciting things I will share and launch as they come to fruition. 🥳🌿

So, if you'd like to follow along on my plant journey, I'd love to be friends on my new page @taking_care_of_plants_tcp. Think TCB - Taking Care of Business (if you're a Seinfeld fan, you'll get the reference), just TCP - Taking Care of Plants instead!

I'll still post on this page, but it won't be nearly the plant content it has been.

I have things I want to do with this page. And will be working behind the scene on those ideas for here as well. 🙃🫣

How has everyone been?🤔

Enjoy the photos from my last week or so! 🙃☺️

Happy Friday Friends!!! 🥳🌱

I'm calling all my Hoya pros.📢🛑

Talk to me about this Hoya. 💀

This is my third time trying it, and honestly I might be done. 😤

The photos are yesterday and the video is from the 11th after it's repot. (After I bring plants home, I repot).

I'm all ears friends.👂

Thought I'd share some moments of my last week and some thoughts.🙃😍 Vulnerable moments coming.

While I was repotting some plants, I went to grab a pot off the patio and there was an Anna's hummingbird eating from the feeder, so I decided to catch a video. Enjoy! 🥹💕✨ I love hummingbirds!

A few plants and flowers from our jungle as well as flowers, trees and scenery from our walks (one going to pick up our Jeep with a new engine .😬😭)

A puzzle I finished.🧩

Cute sunstone trellis I made for my Hoya Krimson Queen. 💕🌱

Veggie chowder - did you guess it on my previous post? 🤔

I did a lot of repotting yesterday and just got lost in time. The four year anniversary of my grandma crossing over into another dimension is coming up on the 17th.

I've found myself constantly thinking about her. Not that I don't, but more now. Spring reminds me of her and her love of the outdoors, the blooms popping open, smelling the flowers.

The twinkle in her eyes talking about the different plants and flowers. 🥹

See, she was more than my grandma. She was more my mom, even though my mther is here.

Part of this page was for my healing journey as well. Sharing things, in hopes it helps someone else. I've never really opened up about any of this, except to those extremely close to me.

I have a complicated and strained relationship with my mother. Losing my grandma was losing my mom. And so, even though I don't cry like I did in the beginning, the hole has not gotten any smaller, in fact, I feel it's only gotten bigger at times.

I was SO fortunate to get 46 years with her. 46. Man. She was 96 when she passed.

My relationship with my mom also affect me and how I was with my daughters and I'm still learning to break cycles. But I have. I've broken some cycles and for that I am proud.

But, I miss my grandma and seeing this hummingbird yesterday made me feel a little closer to her. 🥹💕🌱

If you've made it this far. Thank you for being here and listening. 🙏🤗🫶

And bonus, if you swipe to the end, you'll see us in 2019, back when I straightened my hair. And this will probably be the only pic with my face showing I share on here. 🫣

What are you up to today? 🤔

Now that I've finished what we're having for dinner, I'm onto some plant time. 🙌🌿🙃

I have some recently acquired plants that have not yet been repotted, so that's my plan today. 😍🪴

And my helper is always close by. Hi Zen! 👋😻

How many of you get EVERYTHING together BEFORE you cut the onion because of how much it irritates your eyes? 🧅😬🤭🤔🙃🫣😭

Like I have everything ready to go, so as soon as I am done cutting this onion, it's going directly into the pan to be cooked. 😂

Any guesses what I'm making?

I was noticing the main flower on our Bromeliad were cloudy looking.🪴

So I decided to flush out the flowers and trim up the not so good looking leaves.🚿✂️

And then filled each flower back up. 💦

I love watching the water run down the stem of the flower! 🥹💕

She looks SO much better now! 😍🙌🌿

This post is inspired by a conversation I had with @shy_plantgirl the other day. 🙃

They responded to a photo I posted to my stories of my Philodendron squamiferum that they just wanted to touch the stem because of the fuzziness. 🤭

And I told them I touch my plants every day...as well as talk to them (maybe not out loud, but I talk to them, daily.)🫣🙃🙌🤭

So, enjoy a little walk around with me touching some of my plants.🙃🌿🙌 You can't hear me talking to them, but I do share a few thoughts along the way.

☘️Monstera adansonii
☘️Gasteria Flow
☘️Monstera Peru
☘️Dieffenbachia
☘️Anthurium andreanum

☘️Monstera Thai Constellation

I'm curious, do you touch your plants? Talk to them? 🤔🧐
