so ive been going through a rabbit hole recently of documentaries about the appalachian mountains and i learned about old growth forests, which is what they call very old undisturbed forests that are centuries old, so ancient giant trees. and then i learned that the world has little to none of these kinds of forests anymore, because people found a sport for cutting the giant trees down in the 1900's, and also some blight, which was also still caused by ignorance. most of the forests you will see in the united states are new growth, trees that have been replanted inside that period of logging. there is a singled-out tree who is a survivor in one of these revived forests called the Big Lonely Doug, and learning about him made me sob for an hour at 3 in the morning. apparently while his whole forest was being decapitated, doug only survived because the logger assigned to him had the humanity and couldn't bring himself to do it. i'm tearing up and shaking rn as im typing this im so sad about that tree and all its friends are gone and all the new ones around him are small and he towers over them all, when he used to be one of the shorter ones in a crowd that stood over him what the fuck. nary a day where i don't stop to think about it, we are all going to hell. besides that I have also been fucking a dragon or two !

I got the honor of working with a bunch of other lovely artists who came together for the love of OCs and Cafe Events, hosted by the lovely @neighborhood_dirt_lord !!🍰🎂
#occafecollab

I have my babies Selene and Gaia on the forefront and theme of my mock-up cafe event (I genuinely wish I could have the treats and keychains to myself lol I am genuinely considering getting a pair manufactured for myself), and a big thank u to my cousin @frnnac for helping me out with the graphics of this post last minute 😺

A big sweet tooth like myself was stoked for this and had such a fun time with this <3 I wish I had more time to mingle with the people more but genuinely the warmest ball of fuzz to be in for a while.

here is the rest of the sweet bunch, please go check their work for the collab out!! it's such a treat i love when people get so cute about their characters, I will be forcing my companions to go out with me and get some coffee lol
