Operation Ivy’s “Energy” came out in 1989 and it’s been so fun to see kids discovering this album today. If these songs don’t make you get up and dance I’m not sure what can. “Smiling when your friends are watching” is such a dope lyric. Miss you AB. taken in Cerritos, California by @zentiliano

A couple weeks ago I had a bad crash on the MTB. Totally preventable. Was riding a spicy line and showing @seedowse around. Entered the first feature completely wrong and paid dearly. Knocked myself out, had about 20 minutes of amnesia. Broken clavicle, rib, dislocated finger, couple sprains, cuts, bruises, etc. 2 weeks in and I’m healing quickly. I can come out and play in March and maybe find some speed again in April. With as much as I travel to Asia I can’t believe it took me this long to do a stopover in JAPOW. The snow is as advertised! They get plenty snow and it’s not hard to find if you’re comfortable in backcountry / side country type terrain. Lift tickets under $50 was nice.

Katsu Don is my new favorite mountain food. Onsen was amazing but public nudity took some adjusting, lol. I’m sure @wizawhit and @jeffbattleson would take no issue.

Also, I did see the elusive Niseko Snow Bunny that went viral recently. This is not my photo but this is EXACTLY WHAT I SAW! Of course my GoPro wasn’t running, doh.

Thanks Ray @promersurfboards for a fun board perfect for grovely Bird Rock or wave pools. Need to get it in some bigger conditions but so far I like the 2 + 1 fin setup. Love the resin tint color too . . . @clearwaterglassing by @zentiliano
