Shambhala 2025 was one of the greatest, most powerful and magical years yet. Had an incredibly special and meaningful opportunity on the crew this year, met new friends, found new music and artists that really inspired me, had lots of magnificent moments

I got the rare opportunity of getting to help work behind the scenes and see some of the inner workings behind the festival, which included so many special gems of moments.

One of the most memorable events was getting to drive Alix Perez & Eprom (Shades) back to their hotel after their set. Eprom connected to Bluetooth and from there we took off on what felt like one of, if not the most magical & mystical car journeys of my life. He played zero EDM music… it was all comprised of laid back Jazz, what I think I’d classify as some niche UK soft rock, and some Japanese Lo-fi, and some reggae sprinkled into the mix. It was a listening experience that reminded me how beautiful music is.. how deeply emotional and filled with so many diverse flavours & feelings.. I had heard none of these songs in my life before. I was too focused on the road at night to try remember all of these song titles, and didn’t want to be on my phone while driving. I don’t know if I’ll ever get another experience like that. It was a cosmic nighttime journey through some of the most tastefully selected sound that paired with the moment perfectly. Alix Perez made a funny comment, marvelling at the taste of Ketchup chips, him being from the UK I suppose it was a rare treat.

Moments like these, and getting to drive some phenomenal artists both on and off the farm, to getting to dance onstage at the Pagoda with Amber at Prayer Handz set, to hearing my favourite set I’ve ever heard at the Secret Garden, and more, made this one a really friggin cool time. I’m so deeply thankful for this year.. I missed out on a lot of artists sets that I wanted to see, but life is about compromise at times, and this compromise was without a doubt, very well worth it
