Yeaa naa, yeaa naa - yesterday marked the 178th anniversary of our beloved Republic! 🇱🇷
a tale of liberty, resilience, and boundless potential.

In the spirit of this special day, @devin.boeing, @elijah.hhh, and the entire Zeor Foundation family are delighted to unveil the recipients of the 2025 Zeor Scholar award.

This award honors the memory of the late Theresa Zeor Barlue, a beacon of hard work and continuous learning driven by a thirst for knowledge.

This year’s distinguished Scholars, Makayla Huber and Abrilo Etilo, proudly embrace their heritage from +231 and recognize the invaluable importance of education and community.

We are excited to join them on their journey, one that we trust will bring about remarkable transformations.

College Week 1 is underway for this year’s Zeor Scholar! 🧑🏾‍🏫💜

Mawata is a freshman at Saint Mary’s University (MN) who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She recently graduated from Park Center High School, where she not only excelled in academics (3.96 GPA) but also thrived on the soccer field as the captain of the girl’s soccer team and served as a student board representative.

The Zeor Foundation is proud to announce Mawata as the inaugural recipient of this scholarship award! She is a first-gen Liberian-American who believes in the transformative power of education and embodies what Theresa Zeor Barlue stood for.

We are grateful to be able to play a small role in Mawata’s academic journey!
