As if 2 uncles wasn’t enough. This one hurts man… Rod was more than a cousin, he was more like a brother, one of my best friends, someone that supported me through all of my endeavors, my road dog. Anytime I wanted to take a trip somewhere he’d be like “come pick me up and let’s ride dawg!”. Little did I know that this picture would be the last time I got to see him when I stopped to spend time with him on my way to a gig... Watching him and being around him taught me to be grateful and thank God for everything I have, big or small. He never let you see his struggles, instead he was always giving God the glory through everything. I’m going to miss Rod but I’m also at peace knowing he’s in a better place and not suffering anymore. I thank God that I got to spend time with him one last time. To laugh and talk about how life has been and just smile enjoy each other’s company as we always have. So many memories and good times. The song on this post is the first song we did together as teenagers at a family reunion when I just learned how to play piano. We used to talk about that all the time…. Well sir, I love you cuz, I’m going to miss our conversations and hangs. RIP Rod 🕊️ by @zericktrandolph
