POSTS STORIES REELS

LIFE IS SHORT ⏳. But I’m still here. Losing people left and right. Starting to realize we’re not in this world forever. As a matter of fact, you don’t know if today’s your last day! These types of surprises don’t always bring fair warning. Just thinking back to all the friends and fam I’ve lost along the way, and I always think about how the man upstairs chose ME to still be here! Of all people. Tomorrow’s never promised to anyone. Sometimes when we lose someone, being that this is the one place we all have in common, I will go to their page and see what the last thing they posted was! I think about how I hope they got that one last goodbye in to the people they love! I hope the people around them have closure! This post isn’t about goodbyes. It’s about a time in my life where I’m extremely happy with where I’m at! I’m not rich, I’m not poor, I’m happy and I do live with a peaceful easy feeling! I couldn’t always say that! But today I could. You’re going to have your haters and your likers. At the end of the day put your blinders on and do you for you! You only get 1 shot at life, so check all those things off that list you’ve been wanting to do so when people talk about you when you’re gone, hopefully they have lots of good things to say! If you made it this far, thx for reading. Just typing my current thoughts about life!

Leaving this here📌.. This is how I want to be remembered. A happy person with a good heart. Wether I’m still here or no longer around ❤️

Mr. Tom Taros from San Pedro CA. (Chime in if you know him) Living legend! He’s been rebuilding our Carburators for the last 30+ years as far as I know! Longer I’m sure.. He’s 92 years old and still around! No longer out in his shop because he takes care of his wife, otherwise he would be. Almost a century of knowledge. The old school kind that dies off with him. Too bad we can’t back up peoples brains like we can a hard drive! It was good to see him. It’s been a long time since I have.
He’s raced cars for over 60 years and still has his vintage dragster in his garage which he’s gone over 200 MPH in! 🤯. Another thing that’s still in his garage is his 1948 whizzer bicycle/ motorcycle, which he machined his own top end completely from scratch. No CNC equipment. Done decades ago! He made it 4 valve and dual overhead cam with an external belt drive to make it work. My mind was always blown seeing this stuff in his shop!
Anyway, I remember going to his place 10-15 years ago and I was always fascinated by his Sun Diagnostic machine. I loved seeing it in such good shape! One day I drove my 70 riviera (circa 2016/17) to his place to say hi… I was asking him diagnostic questions in hopes I could talk him into using the machine on my car so I can watch it happen! Ha! He said he hasn’t used it in almost a decade and didn’t plan to. I talked him into it, and he told me my points were bad! After that I obsessed over the machine for some weird reason. He said that would be the last time he ever uses it.
10-12 years have gone by, by this time, and I had no idea if he was still alive. I tried his number and low and behold he answered! We talked for over an hour on multiple occasions. I love hearing old gear head stories, so I can stay on the phone listening as long as he’s talking! I called to ask if he’d be willing to sell his machine. At first he didn’t want to. He took my number down, and one day he called me, and we made a deal! Was a good day! Something that I wanted for no apparent reason, because I don’t know how to use it 😂….. yet! I’ll learn.. I grew up my whole life seeing these in car shops.. so I’m happy to have made this particular one mine 😌!

Taking this survivor Lowrider from the late 60’s/ early 70’s, the “Choosey Beggar”, and bringing it back to life! This car was at many indoor arena car shows and probably took home countless awards. I’m told it’s been used in a movie or two, and some magazine ads as well!
With the help of our good friends at @handbuiltcustoms.llc, the boss man there helped bring my vision to life!! And quick! The price was right, the timing was perfect! Needless to say, I’m happy with how it came out. 1 step closer!!! Thanks fellas! Almost time to take it cruisin for the first time in probably 40+ years 😎
PLEASE TELL THEM I SENT YA! They’re open to taking in upholstry work, so shoot them a DM and let them get you right! by @zero_phucks

The “Choosey Beggar”. A 1966 Chevy Impala built by Charlie Lopez from Klassics CC in Santa Ana, CA in the early 1970’s. This car has been through a lot, and definitely showing its age! Was a very wild and custom build! Charlie is also responsible for building quite a few other custom cars like the Nostalgic Sleeper, now owned by Conrad Garcia. I acquired the car a while back and have since got the rebuilt 350 running good, redid the hydraulic setup in the trunk, put some of my favorite wheels on it (for now) until I find some supremes to put back on it like it had back in the day!, and next I’m thinking about having the interior redone so it feels a bit more drivable! Swivel seats are still in it but pretty tore up! Merc taillights, cutlass canted headlights. Suicide doors, and some pretty bitchin frenched antennas! I have since renamed the car to “Years of Abuse” and soon to paint the name on the side rear glass! 🤓
Not sure what I plan on doing with this thing. It’s super cool! It’s just that the older I get I seem to have less time and less space. So just contemplating making time to cruise it around, or find a new owner.. Work consumes my life! So we shall see! 🎭 #cruzwell #cruzwellhydraulics #cruzwellequipped by @zero_phucks
