The DMV creative scene has outgrown the group chat. It is time for a real newsroom.

We are officially announcing a strategic partnership between Blerd Campus and The Black Nerd Network to build a premier digital media publication for our culture. This is not a merger—this is a combined ecosystem.
The vision is clear: we are building a culture-focused news engine on the level of VICE or Complex, dedicated strictly to the gaming, nightlife, and Blerd communities we actually live in. Blerd Campus will continue to build the talent, the live events, and the cultural moments. The Black Nerd Network is taking the helm as our official broadcasting channel and newsroom to document and report it all.
We are moving beyond just resharing flyers. We are building the infrastructure for real stories, on-the-ground reporting, event dispatches, and authentic deep dives into what makes this community move.

We are looking for the voices of tomorrow.
If you are a young journalist, a culture commentator, a video editor, or someone who actively wants to report the news within our community—we are laying the groundwork for you right now. Over the coming months, we will be actively recruiting field correspondents and rolling out an academic internship pipeline to give you the platform, the press access, and the bylines to build your reel.

Lately, IRL streaming has been catching a bad rap—fights at ComplexCon, toxic representation, and people just doing it wrong. But we aren’t giving up on a whole platform just because some people lack the creativity to be genuine.
We’re doing it the Blerd Campus way.

Since my schedule keeps me locked down on the production side, I’m sending the away team out to represent. Enter Star Struck & Zero Chill.

This isn’t forced content. It’s just a pure POV hangout—people watching, asking real questions, and letting the natural chaos unfold at the events. Star is a hyper-ball of energy who honestly needs to be live-streamed at all times purely for company insurance and liability purposes. And Zero? My assistant is the only person on earth chill enough to casually take a blistering, pro wrestling-style chop to the chest right outside the venue just for the culture.
