I’m so fortunate and forever grateful to have had such an incredible, kind, wise, beautiful, and patient mother. She shaped me into the person I am today and I could never have asked for a better mother. She let me grow into my own person and let me be my authentic self. She supported me in everything I wanted to do, and I think that’s one of the most important duties as a mother.

And if there is, somehow, a place where she’s resting, then I hope she knows how much I loved her and still do. I hope she knows I’m trying my best to follow my dreams and passions as she always wanted me to do. I hope she knows the enormous impact she had on so many people’s lives. I hope she knows I wear a piece of her around my neck everyday so she’s always with me. I hope she knows that she still raises my self-esteem, even after death. I mean, how can I be insecure about myself if I get so many traits from her, my beautiful mother? Sometimes I’ll laugh in a funny way and think it was embarrassing, until I realize I sounded just like her, and suddenly I love that laugh. Sometimes I’ll feel insecure about my body, until I realize I got it from her, and suddenly I feel so much more confident in it. My favorite compliment in the world is when someone tells me I look like my mom, or my smile reminds them of her, or that I made a face that looked just like her. It’s one of the greatest feelings that makes my heart so happy. There’s nothing I want more than for her to continue living on through myself and my siblings, and everyone she ever loved.

My biggest hope is that I can carry on everything she taught me. I want to love and be there for people the same way she was. I want to give someone an amazing childhood, like she gave me. Her unconditional love and eternal understanding was like no one else’s and I want to carry that forward.

So, to my mom, happy birthday. I love you and miss you everyday. And I like to think you would be happy to see my life right now. ❤️ by @zeta.olivia

I never thought I’d meet my person on a random day in June of 2024. I never thought I’d meet him on a video game, no less. But sometimes good things come to you when you least expect it, when you aren’t looking for it and didn’t think you needed it, but it ends up making your life all the much better.

There’s no one else I’d choose to spend the rest of my days with. You proved that I was capable of being completely and utterly comfortable and content with someone, when I thought I’d never be. You changed my life in more ways than you’ll ever know, and for the better.

Happy 1 year anniversary to my beloved. Thank you for always being patient, gentle, and understanding with me. I can’t explain how excited I am for the many more years to come with you, and all that we’ll do with them. I love you so much.
