PERMISSION ≠ SLIP is about turning away from external validation and reconnecting with what
lives within us. It is a call to listen to intuition as our true compass and to trust it boldly, even when
fear and societal pressure attempt to hold us in place. New paths, new ideas, and new realities
can only be created when we release ourselves from the invisible grip of the system and allow
instinct to lead.

Rooted in trust in our own vision, PERMISSION ≠ SLIP disrupts established systems and builds
new connections across disciplines that were never meant to stay separate.

It’s been a year since Reclaiming the African Gaze was birthed through blood, sweat, tears, prayer, sacrifice — and I remain eternally grateful for every hand that helped bring this vision to life.

To everyone who stood beside me, believed in me, created with me, encouraged, prayed, modelled, supported, carried equipment, gave their time, energy, love, wisdom, and heart into this series… thank you. Truly.

This project was never just mine. It was built through community and through love.
