On the 30th of October, @voldband will be opening the night for zeug at Kantine am Berghain.

vold (Berlin) are the East Berlin backyard storm. Two heads, one guitar (?), drums, and an intense wall of sound. Navigating the tension between heavy Hill Country blues, doom and jam-driven psychedelic rock.

zeug is releasing 'Hausmeister' LP in Spring 2027

Since 2016, we have been a duo, a trio, and briefly a 16-headed beast.
Our new album, Hausmeister, releases in spring 2027. It’s tight, pounding, and claustrophobic, shaped by birth, rebirth and decay. Tracked entirely self-backed in our space at Gaswerk.

To finish mixing at Circular Ruin Studio in NYC and mastering with James Plotkin in NJ, we need your advance contributions to reach our 5.000 € GoFundMe goal.

Vinyl copies, guest-list spots, and original lyrics artwork are live now.

► Doors: 19:00 / Start: 20:00

On May 9th, we shared the stage with @ingnodwetrust to celebrate 20 years of their never-ending mutation.

A brief look back: exactly 10 years ago, zeug (then called halbzeug, with a different line-up) played their first show with GNOD at Urban Spree. A decade of existence sealed in the same room. What were the odds.

Captures by @gaelpettinaroli.

Current state: new LP in progress. All instrumental tracks were tracked down during the last week of May at our studio in @gaswerksiedlung_berlin. Vocals and noise dubs are happening now.

Yours,
zeug

“The “Vessel” project is deeply rooted in industrial and natural spaces. We recorded the majority of the album on the MS Loretta in Bremen, rigging the ship with mics and custom-built hydrophones to capture the resonance of the hull and the river Weser. The remaining tracks—featuring the 9-headed queer choir Singen3000 and 5 guest musicians —were recorded in the Großer Wasserspeicher in Berlin, an ancient water reservoir with a 17-second natural delay and a heavy history as a site of resistance (was used as a prison and execution site for the members of the latter).

We released ‘Vessel’ exclusively on vinyl and Bandcamp (we avoid the majority streaming services for political and ideological reasons). The production was supported by Initiative Musik.”
