Wouaaah ! 🤩

quelle soirée, quelle soirée ! ❤️

Des rires,
un quiz en équipe,
des histoires partagées
et des jeunes qui ont pris le micro
pour faire entendre leur voix.

D’Eischen à Filsdorf,
en passant par Mamer et Esch,
on s’est retrouvés au-delà des écrans pour jouer, échanger et sortir de notre bulle numérique.

Trois maisons de jeunes et un foyer de jeunes, des influenceurs, des éducateurs, un psychologue et des jeunes : tous réunis pour une soirée au-delà des écrans.

C’est ça, la force d’une communauté :
se sentir à sa place,
oser participer et vivre des moments qu’aucun téléphone ne peut remplacer.

Merci aux jeunes, aux intervenants et à tous ceux qui ont rendu ce premier événement BRB en présentiel possible.

On September 10, Bob and Sarah joined “Gesond Diddeleng” in Dudelange.

We were there with an information stand and took the opportunity to speak with many people, exchange ideas and make new connections.

This week, ZEV joined the @beesecure.lu DigiRallye, where more than 100 children learned through play how to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Prevention starts long before addiction develops. By helping children build healthy digital habits early and discover meaningful offline alternatives, we strengthen their resilience against problematic media use.

A big thank you to BEE SECURE and all partners for organizing this important initiative. Together, we can support children in developing a healthy and balanced relationship with digital media. 💙

Around the world, concern is growing about the effects of social media and excessive screen use on young people’s wellbeing. In France, this debate has now led to the adoption of legislation prohibiting access to social media for children under 15 — the first measure of its kind in the European Union.

While policymakers consider how best to protect young people online, initiatives are also emerging at local level to give young people the knowledge and space to reflect on their own digital habits.

In Luxembourg, @brb.mode, a new video podcast developed with and for young people, is contributing to this important conversation.

Produced by @andraandflorinel and @zev.lu with the support of the Bindels-Kauthen Foundation under our aegis, brb mode explores excessive screen use, social media, gaming and other potentially compulsive digital behaviours through open, accessible and non-judgmental discussions.

This impactful project was recently featured in @forbes_luxembourg.

🔙 Looking Back at May

May was all about exchange, prevention, and awareness at ZEV.

Our colleague Charlotte Pull, psychologist and psychotherapist at ZEV, actively contributed to two of the many events:

📱 May 12 – Parents’ Evening in Junglinster
During the event « Enfants & médias digitaux : Tout va (encore) bien !? », participants discussed the opportunities and challenges of digital media in family life.

🎓 May 20 – ESA Day
Alongside inspiring presentations, Charlotte led two workshops on “The Taboo Topic of Pornography”, exploring pornography and its role in the lives of young people.
