POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

15.08.2020 💔

I still don’t know what to say…
Maybe because I never imagined I’d have to say goodbye to you like this.

I grew up watching you. Your number 7, that helicopter shot, those calm eyes, the way you walked back after losing… everything became a part of my childhood.

And then, just like that, you posted those few words… and an entire generation of memories came crashing down.

I know players retire. I know this day had to come.
But knowing it would happen someday doesn’t make it hurt any less.

You were never just my favourite cricketer, Mahi.
You were an emotion. ❤️

Thank you for every six, every trophy, every impossible finish, every lesson, and every moment that made me fall in love with cricket.

You retired from cricket today, but you’ll never retire from our hearts.

Forever a Dhoni fan.
Forever a #7. 💙

Thank you, Mahi. 🥺💔
