Single continuous effort circumnavigation of Mt. Hood via the Timberline Trail and PCT

45 miles, 10,000 ft elevation gain, peak elevation 7,300 ft

30:00/mi for the first 24 miles, 60:00/mi with LOTS of breaks for the last 21 miles after injury

Total time on mountain 41 hours (way over estimate time hehe whoops)

Traversed a few snow fields, scrambled some crawlers ledges, squatted and climbed through blowdown areas, rock hopped dozens of streams, and forded big glacial rivers

Meandered through waterfalls, wildflower meadows, alpine/barren/rain/redwood forests, rock cliffs, sand dunes, ice/snow fields, canyons, and everything else that comes with the tallest mountain in Oregon and one of the most beautiful places in the PNW. Also saw bear poop but no brown bears

Had the best and worst time of my life! It was amazing!

on Mountain Time

Got to hit Whitetail, Mt Bachelor, Steamboat, Mammoth, Sunshine, and Lake Louise (my favorite!) this season. Also I love Banff and the Canadian Rockies taken in Banff by @zhangmitch

Some highlights of the great outdoors that I’ve been so happy I experienced in 2025. Climbed a couple mountains, saw a couple glaciers, hiked a couple hundred miles, amongst other things.
