Wow! We are officially two-time nominated filmmakers! Yesterday was a great reminder of how proud I am to be part of the disability filmmaking community! We got to meet with friends and also make new friends with so many beautiful, and talented people! My heart is so full to get to be a finalist among the many talented creatives out there. Thank you to my dream team cast and crew for carrying us into another year of being here. I am so humbled and grateful for all of your support and love! Thank you, Easterseals Disability Film Challenge for celebrating us and giving us all a home and voice to share stories that are otherwise swept under the rug. What an honor to have I Will Be Fine selected for DIWA Film Festival, alongside so many incredibly talented Filipino filmmakers! 🇵🇭❤️

We’re beyond grateful for this experience, the wonderful people we met, and the meaningful connections we made along the way. There’s something truly special about being surrounded by fellow Filipino creatives who share the same passion for filmmaking and telling stories that celebrate our culture, our experiences, and the heart of being Pinoy.

After passing his driving test, a routine day takes an unexpected turn when a simple challenge becomes a dangerous decision. HBD! MBTC! But really, what I have to say is that I have no clue how I got this lucky. Happy 31st, bebe koooo! Ever since I first met you, you have been my ray of sun in my clouded mind. Your smile is enough to keep me going, and your confidence can make me believe that we can make the world spin backwards. I am grateful that you have been with me through all of the moments in the last year. My dearest, Bettina with a comma after dearest, you bring us all so much joy and love. Every person you have introduced me to has shown me a new side of you that I have enjoyed seeing. Your mind is brilliant, creative, and so damn caring. It truly is unfair that life has given you all of the best cards, but I am so glad I get to be by your side. After working half a decade in mental health and getting the chance to work near patients who struggle with mental health, I can say that the way @ncentineo performed in Union County gave respect and recognition to the efforts of those who are working through recovery and the nuances of addiction. I admire how he walked the fine line of expression for the screen with also doing it in a way that did not mock or trivialize the lives he was performing.

Additionally, his responses to the Q&A afterwards was so genuine and humble. While I can say I have only had a chance to talk to a handful of established actors in this industry, he answered every question with such grounded kindness and even stayed behind for us to get to greet him. Thank you to my brilliant, Director wife for always creatingthe best experience for me to get to appreciate the art form that I have loved my whole life. Four years somehow felt like ten, in the best way.

I can honestly say we’re living life to the fullest. We’ve said yes to as many opportunities and challenges as we could, found ways to make almost everything fun, and given each other the space to feel every emotion: joy, sadness, anxiety, hurt, courage, love, and everything in between.

I can’t imagine going through life without my person. We’re far from perfect, but I love that we keep pushing each other to be better for the people around us, for each other, and for ourselves.

I don’t really believe in soulmates, but whatever we are is more than I could have ever asked for.

My husband, my creative partner, my best friend, my bebe ko, and my Mr. Brightside. My life wouldn’t be nearly as well lit without you… to be fair, you do know your way around lighting 💡❤️

I love you so much, and here’s to 4 years 🥂

P.S.
Mr. Brightside was the song that lit up the dance floor at our wedding.
*No jealousy here, just love lol
