I’m really excited to announce the next @soambient at @podlasieclub on September 5th from 6–8:30pm. @eden.aurelius will be joining us from NYC for a listening party for her new album, Entre Nous 🌸 This record is gorgeous from start to finish and I’m so excited for Eden to share this body of work she created herself, along with the other sounds and inspirations that shaped it. This will be a full evening centered around the album and Eden’s world! @zig_or_rat will be doing visuals throughout the evening and we’ll be experiencing the album through Pods incredible sound system. This is also the first event I’m programming for So Ambient in Chicago and I couldn’t think of a better artist or album to begin with! every time i try to post lately I get sucked into the frankly unforgivable backlog of stuff i have from this summer… then i updated my profile pic which has kinda forced my hand. so here’s just these ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I am admittedly a late newcomer to it, but @humboldtarboreal has quickly become a joyous escape i look forward to eagerly. last arboreal, @elgatovane and @vic.ghaleb caught me completely off guard by asking to take my picture and i’m so happy i said yes:)) these little unexpected interactions, with strangers and friends alike, have really been the joy of my summer. Traveling and partying and organizing and just stumbling headlong into these masses of people without anything to do but marvel at the world and make new connections has taught me more about me than i’ve learned in a loooooong time. Feeling grateful for new friends, places, stuff to do… and for all the ones that led me here! taken in Humboldt Park, Chicago by @zig_or_rat

here’s a peek of the staging and video work i did with @danielladeluna for @mizzsoftee in Detroit this past weekend! Sooo grateful to them for inviting me to be a part of Movement afters, such a special weekend. We found these long sheer curtains and went for a floaty-swoopy look. It was my first time doing rear projection (or rlly any kind of unconventional setup), pretty freaking proud of the result. Pulled it all together in less than a week as well. Video content is mostly from early animated films. Daniella shared a 1970 film production of the Triadisches Ballett by Oskar Schlemmer, a fascinating and eerie corner of avant-garde I’d never stumbled across. Finding a practical workflow for chopping up footage like that and compositing it with other content was definitely time-consuming, but the trial and error occasionally produced some delightfully fun results. Hopefully doing more of this soon! If you host an event or make any kind of art and want to collaborate, don’t hesitate to reach out :) ⋆｡𖦹°‧ 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆟 𓆝 ⋆｡𖦹°‧ #detroit #vjin #technicalarts #projectionmapping #videoart taken in Movement Electronic Music Festival by @zig_or_rat
