New cover story for @admiddleeast with @nadkanso .

Having lived in the UAE for 25 years, Nadine Kanso (@nadkanso) is finally home - and it feels as though she has stepped back into her childhood where summers were spent with her grandparents by Lebanon’s sun-kissed coastline.
No, the acclaimed artist and founder of jewellery house, Bil Arabi (@bilarabi), hasn’t moved back to Beirut. She’s just carved herself a pocket of Levantine charm in Dubai’s chic Port de La Mer district. “The big nonnegotiable I had was that I wanted to be by the sea,” says Kanso, “because it brings back happy memories of being surrounded by family.”
She enlisted fellow Lebanese creative, the #AD100 designer Thomas Trad (@thomastrad), to fashion a contemporary take on the traditional Beiruti homes she grew up in.

New cover for @outofofficeme 📸

We fell in love with Sri Lanka last year when we visited for the first time. This year, we uncovered even more stunning boutique hotels across the island. During our last few days, we stayed at @eraeliya_villas, where this photo was taken. Beautiful sunsets, watching surfers, and enjoying amazing food was all we needed. We’re definitely coming back. Stay tuned for more photos.

New work for @marieclairemaisonarabia

📍 @rahgilimaldives

#DesignStays series travels to the Maldives to discover Rah Gili Maldives, a new island retreat where contemporary design, Maldivian culture and nature come together.
The first destination from Six & Six Private Islands, Rah Gili is shaped by Rayyithun, meaning “People of the Islands” in Dhivehi, celebrating the people, craftsmanship and traditions that define island life.
From beach villas surrounded by tropical greenery to overwater retreats above the turquoise lagoon, the design embraces indoor-outdoor living, natural surroundings and a sense of barefoot freedom. Across the island, vibrant restaurants, relaxed beach spaces and a strong connection to local culture complete the experience.
At Rah Gili, luxury is about presence, connection and a deeper sense of place.

New work shot in Syria for @admiddleeast .

This Damascus Boutique Hotel Breathes New Life Into an Ottoman-Era Home.
Tucked within the historic quarters of the Old City, Dar Al Mamlouka centres life around a quaint courtyard, citrus-shaded marble fountain and quiet morning mezze.
Nestled between the historic Christian, Muslim and Jewish quarters of the city, this Damascus boutique hotel is the physical embodiment of Syrian hospitality. Occupying a 17th-century Damascene residence from the Ottoman period, Dar Al Mamlouka opened in 2011, just before the outbreak of conflict that would force it to close its doors at intervals over the following 15 years.

Today, both the city and the hotel are finding renewed momentum. Part of the Al Mamlouka Hotels Group, owned and managed by Antoun Mezannar, the five-star guesthouse in Old Damascus comprises ten individually designed rooms arranged around a traditional Syrian courtyard.

New digital cover for @admiddleeast

This year’s highlight was definitely traveling to Syria to shoot this beautiful house in Damascus. Thank you again @linaattara & @imadhusari_ for trusting me with this project 🙏🏻

Syrian collector, art patron and philanthropist Lina Attar Ajami (@linaattara) describes herself as a modern nomad. Born in Syria, she spent her childhood in Lebanon and France. Later, she and her husband, Amer Ajami, lived in Canada for two decades until 2008. But no matter how far she travelled, home was always calling to her. “My husband and I were feeling nostalgic, and we wanted to go back to Damascus. For a few years, we were thinking about buying and restoring a house in Old Damascus,” she says.
After a year and a half of searching, Ajami’s husband called with a potential find. Built around 1860 and formerly owned by an affluent family, the “perfectly squared” house stood in the Kanawat district, close to the National Museum of Damascus and the historic Hejaz Railway.
Although it was neglected and in disrepair, Ajami felt she had found the right place. “It was destroyed and dirty, but I felt a serenity that took over my heart,” she recalls, adding that the owners gave her only 24 hours to make the decision.
Nevertheless, she took on the challenge, collaborating with Michel Zayat (@michel.zayat), the Syrian architect and founder of VIA Concepts, to bring it back to life.
For September’s digital cover, AD takes an exclusive look inside Beit Al Ajami, a Damascene residence lovingly restored to its 19th-century glory. Visit the link in bio to read the full story.

Inside @jnanerumi , beauty is everywhere you look. Custom rugs by Mina Abouzahra, rattan furniture from Rotin Ameublement, embroidered works by Margaux Derhy, frescoes by Roberto Ruspoli, and paintings by Mous Lamrabat and Amina Rezki fill the property’s eleven suites and pavilions without ever feeling crowded.
Tadelakt walls, hand-carved wood, naturally mullioned arches and domes create a space where the architecture does the heavy lifting and the art simply enhances it. The Rumi Bar, with its pink walls and statement brass chandelier, is where the evenings unfold. This art-filled haven is more than a place to rest your head between days of sightseeing; it’s a destination designed to inspire in its own right.

The Mellah Hotel is another beautiful hotel in the heart of Marrakech. This intimate 10-room boutique hotel is tucked away inside the historic Medina, offering a peaceful escape surrounded by the city’s rich culture and timeless charm.
What makes The Mellah feel truly special is that it almost feels more like staying inside a private art gallery than a hotel. Each room has its own personality and design, making every stay feel unique and personal. It’s one of those places where you constantly find yourself slowing down just to appreciate all the beautiful details around you.
