‼️WORLD GALGO DAY‼️
Today is #DíaDelGalgo — World Galgo Day. 🖤
February 1st marks the end of Spain’s hunting season — a moment that brings suffering for thousands of Galgos, Podencos, and other hunting dogs. 💔

Every year, between 50,000 and 100,000 hunting dogs are abandoned, starved, or killed simply because they are no longer considered “useful.” Many are discarded to avoid the cost of feeding them. With an estimated 190,000–250,000 galgueros in Spain, this crisis continues year after year.

Rescue organizations are overwhelmed, working tirelessly to save as many lives as possible. And yet — there is hope.
With love, patience, and safety, these dogs can learn to trust again and thrive in real homes. 🏡🤍

🚨 We must raise awareness and demand change. Hunting with Galgos, Podencos, and other working dogs must end. 🚨

How you can help:
♥️ Adopt a rescue dog
🤲 Support reputable rescue organizations
‼️ Sign petitions (mine is linked in my bio)
👀 Watch @yogalgo’s documentary exposing this reality
↗️ Share this post — awareness saves lives

Today we speak for those who cannot.
Free the Galgos. ✊🐾♥️

POV: Ma is trying to take a nice holiday picture… and I have other plans. 📸😂

A little countryside escape to Brisighella, Italy. 🇮🇹🌿

Beautiful views, quality time with my family, and a pool I had absolutely no intention of swimming in. 😎🐾

Swipe for a few moments from our little getaway! 💙

P.S. Did you see Ma’s birthday post? 🥳 If you missed it, go check it out — there are some lovely photos of us there, too! ♥️🐾

When I adopted Ziggy, a Spanish greyhound, I heard it all: “They’re not smart.” “They’re not trainable.” “They’re just built to run.”

But Ziggy never needed to prove anyone wrong. He just needed a chance. ♥️

As a dog trainer, I’ve worked with many breeds, but Ziggy has taught me more about trust, resilience, and joy than I could’ve imagined. He’s a gentle soul with a goofy spirit — and every single day, he reminds me that rescue dogs aren’t broken… they’re just waiting to shine. ✨

Don’t let a stereotype keep you from meeting your best friend. 🐾

Adopt. Love. Believe. ♥️🙏
